Chapter 16 - GTGF Situation - Part 1

I wake up and immediately my head starts to hurt. It feels as if a 20 tonne Boulder has been dropped directly on top of my head. I swear this is the worst I've ever felt in my entire life.

Just make matters worse, my alarm decides to beep at full volume. I groan and to switch it off, noticing that the time is 6:45 AM. On a Monday.

Suddenly everything comes back to me. The Party, the kissing, Zac...

I must say, last night was actually one of the funnest things I've done. Even the part when Zac and I kissed, there's no denying tha-

"GET OUT OF BED, LAZY ASS!" Shouts Chris, directly at my face. Everything seems so loud and everything is giving me a headache. I chuck a pillow at him and cover my face with one too. I groan as the pain in my head starts to grow again.

"Some pain killers would be nice." I mumble.

"Naww poor skyieeee." He coos. "Seriously why though?"

"Just hurry up and give me them." I sigh, why do guys have to be so difficult?

"Not until you tell me."

"Iwasatapartyandimayormaynothavedrunktoomuchalcohol.." I mutter quickly.

"You what?"

"Ugh. I was at a party and i may or may not have drunk too much alcohol.."

'You WHAT?" Chris explodes.

Oh god, here it comes..

"SKYLAR GREY ROSE YOU DID NOT."

Honestly it feels as if this weekend had gone on FOREVER. I was actually kinda glad to go back to school as crazy as this sounds. Plus school's going to be a lot more tolerable now that my best friend, who apparently happens to be dating my brother is here, and Zac isn't going to 'make my life a living hell' like he said he would.

As i'm putting my books away in my surprisingly empty locker which usually has people flooding and crowding around it I turn around, only to see the one and only Zac Parker talking to Monica at the other end of the corridor. As i walk past, there's an unmissable awkwardness. Monica turns him so that he's facing her directly, and hugs him.

"SKY!" I hear someone shout. Before i can even comprehend whats happening, Ashley runs at full speed towards me and nearly knocks me onto the ground. "Hey girl! Whats up? I haven't seen you in ages."

I laugh. "Yeah, it sure does feel like that. Why don't we go to the movies later on?" I suggest and she eagerly nods. "Text me the deats, i gotta go to class."

I nod and watch her run frantically off to class and laugh. She was so random at times.

I focus my attention back to Zac and Monica, who was death staring me. "A little respect here! Zac's dad happened to have DIED and you're over here screaming and laughing. Honestly some people have no respect." She looked at Zac in a way that made me cringe, it was so fake her entire act.

"Please, you don't even care about anyone but yourself. God, your so selfish, we all know you just want to get into his pants." I shout angrily and turn to Zac.

Even though i already knew that his dad had past away, i still felt so bad. He said he didn't know him that well but it honestly breaks my heart.

"If you need to.. uh- talk to anyone about it. You can always come over to mine." I mumble. Zac nods and i swear i see him smile slightly, before Monica starts to laugh. "Yeah, right. Please, stop being pathetic, why would he want to come over to your house? Stay away from my new BOYFRIEND before i have to get a restraining order or something."

I felt betrayed to say the least. I heard that he asked her out this morning but i thought that was fake! I thought Zac and I really could- forget it. I have no chance with him. He's better off with her anyway.

Zac gave me an apologetic look, as if he was trying to say something but he couldn't find the right words.

"Save it Monica." Was all I could managed to say before I started to walk to class. Hayes and Jake suddenly appeared out of no-where and started asking me a bunch of questions which made me feel uncomfortable.

"How was the party last night huh?" Hayes smirked. "From what Zac told us it sounded pretty fun."

"Yeah and how was your little make out session with Zac? Is he a good kisser? Are you a good kisser?" I chuckled and then i frowned. "I don't know what Zac told you. It was nothing okay? He's dating someone else now."

They both stopped in their tracks. "Who?" They both said at the same time. "Who do you think?" I said and pointed to Monica and Zac down the hallway. They both nodded silently and walked off to their first class.

Nothing the math teacher said was making any sense. I was to busy thinking about the party and the kissing and the other stuff that happened. Did it mean nothing to him at all?

"Test results are in." The teacher said in a flat tone. "Maybe everyone can actually study next time?" She walked around and handed out everyones.

She slammed mine on the desk and raised an eyebrow before walking away again.

A+? Honestly how? I didn't study at all.

"Congratulations to Miss Rose, a+. Keep up the good work."
