I approached the crowd of boys and girls. The boys' form teacher was Mr. Jappger. He was this guy in his mid-30s but he was bouncing around, you know, those too active teachers that try to get everybody together.

I turned to look at Miss Rinn. I gasped. She was really pretty. She had her chestnut brown hair tied up in a high ponytail and she had on some bright pink lipstick. She was very tall. She wore a simple white Micky Mouse t-shirt with distressed jeans and peach-coloured flip-flops. She was smiling and waving all the girls to one side of the hall.

"Ok, girls!" she shouted, "line up, please! I will give each of you guys a slip of paper that has the name of your dormie. You must attempt to find them. Warning though, don't pretend to be someone else just to be with your friends. You will get in big trouble for that. You can ask the other forms what happened if they changed."

I stepped into line. Akira was crossing her fingers and chanting something.

Finally, my turn came. I practically wrenched the paper out of Miss Rinn's hand. My palms were sweaty. Akira was behind me in line so she also took her paper. We both looked at each other, holding the folded paper in our hands. We both unfolded at the same time. Then, we screamed.

This was on my slip of paper:

Akira Maki

Jessica Arana (formerly known as Lexi Fidercia)

Mia Lanners

My first reaction was to cheer and jump along with Akira. Then, I started getting confused.

"Wait, 3 people? I thought there's only 3 people per dorm!" I inquired. Akira nodded too.

"Let's ask Miss Rinn," she said, dragging me along.

"Miss Rinn! Miss Rinn! We have a problem here!" yelled Akira, waving her hands about.

"Girls, that's great but if this is about shopping or anything, go ask the seniors," she replied. She was sweating.

"No, this is about our dorm arrangement. We have 3 people in our dorm," I explained.

Miss Rinn immediately stopped and asked the girls in line to wait. We both earned some glares from the girls as they impatiently tapped their Louboutin heels against the floor.

"Let me look at the paper," said Miss Rinn. Akira gave her paper to her. Miss Rinn looked at it with confusion on her face.

"Wait... Which one of you is Akira Maki? " she asked. Akira raised her hand.

"And I am Jessica Arana," I buzzed in.

A wave of understanding washed over her face.

"Your dorm is the biggest compared to the rest of the freshmen so we put in Mia Lanners. Don't worry, though. You won't have to squeeze. It's is super spacious, don't worry."

We thanked Miss Rinn and walked away. Akira looked disturbed.

"Hey, what's wrong? We won't have to squeeze, don't worry. It's spacious enough," I comforted.

"No, that's not it. Lanners. Our new dorm mate. Remember I said my dad is a mall designer? Well, he designs Mia Lanners' father's malls. Lanners own like a chain of shopping malls all over the country. I met Mia Lanners before in some business conferences. She is not nice, a bit like a Regina George?" Akira said. I nodded. I actually was a huge fan of the movie Mean Girls and I watch it like every weekend.

"How does she look like?" I asked. Just then, I heard someone yelling. I turned and saw this tall blonde girl screaming at her slip of paper. She didn't look pleased. At all.

"And that is Mia Lanners," commented Akira.
