"What should I do? Should I go there?"
"There's a part of me that wanted to go, but . . . Ano ang sasabihin ko kina Mommy?"
Think, Zye . . . Think . . . Use your brains.
Right! I can make use of that card now . . .
"Okay . . . And I am ready." I'm wearing a pastel yellow crochet top partnered with a skinny jeans and some black boots will do for the shoes. I'm sure he'll be tired.
I braided my hair also to prevent it from being messy. I looked at myself one last time on the mirror before going outside my room. And as I expected, Mom is at the living room, watching TV.
"Are you going somewhere?" tanong niya nang mapansin niya ako.
"Meeting with my fiancé, Mom," I casually answered.
"I thought he's swamped this month?"
"He made time to see me. He called me yesterday and asked if we could meet." I really hate lying the most but . . . what am I doing right now?!
Mom gave me a sweet smile. "Go on, sweetie. Meet with him! Take care!" she said, urging me to leave already. I hid a smirk as I went on walking outside the mansion.
"Make sure to leave a good impression!" pahabol na sabi niya sa akin.
"I will. I really will."
