7 years later . . .

Years and years had passed like a wind. As if it's just a glimpses of our memory.

Andre, Julius, Shiana and I already graduated from our desired course and working already in it's field. Dahil dakilang chismoso si Julius, isa na siyang news anchor ngayon. And as for my first best friend, Shiana, she's now an uprising model in the industry. The two are already still dating, like the two of us.

On the other side, Andre is already a successful CEO of their business. He took a business major in college to manage their family business—other than their school—because he wants to do it.

While me? I am already a successful reporter. I really like writing so I want to make it my career. I'm still writing poems if I have some spare time but there's one thing I want to try.

"Mahal, what are you doing?"

Napaharap ako sa pinto ng apartment ko nang marinig si Andre roon. I invited him over since both of us have day off today. It would be a great idea to spend some time together.

"I'm writing," simple kong sagot at nagbigay ng ngiti sa kaniya. 

He placed the food he bought at the table and sat beside me, curious what I'm writing. "A new article? What is it about?"

"No. It's about mine. A new novel of mine."

He looks surprised when I said that. "Really? You will write a novel? What is it about? Anong title? Tell me everything."

Hindi ko na mapigilan matawa nang mahina sa kaniya. I gave him a smack kiss. "It's about us, mahal. The story of us," nakangiti kong sambit.

"Really? What's the title?"

"Love and Crosses."

Napakunot ang noo niya bigla. "Huh? Bakit 'yon title?"

"I want to show how our love and fate crossed at its own path. That's how I explained how our fate formed."

"How beautiful," he said while running his fingers through my hair. "Just like you."

We were just both smiling at each other while staring at each other, enjoying the moment. Until he broke the silence.

"So, how the story will end like?" tanong niya.

"I've been thinking about that too and I want to ask your opinion how would you want to end it since it's the story of us."

Lumawak ang ngiti niya kasabay ng paghawak niya sa kamay ko. "Then, what about Ms. Aveline became a Mrs. Chavez at the end?"

Napatakip ako sa bibig ko nang maglabas ng singsing si Andre at ilagay iyon sa daliri ko. "Let's get married, Zye. Let's get married in our own will."

With my teary eyes, tumango ako sa kaniya at niyakap siya. "Hmm, let's do that. Let's get married."
