I awoke to the lush and beautiful sounds of mother nature, the birds chirping, the sun shining beautifully off the water and the warm feeling of the weather basking against me. I yawned, rubbing my eyes and getting up to search for food. I passed treetops and beautiful leaves, and then sprinted forward when I found a butterfly alone by itself. I placed my finger out and it came over by me, trusting me. I smiled warmly.
"Hey there! What are you doing here all by yourself?"
The butterfly didn't reply, frozen in its expression like a blank slate. I sighed, dissapointed that it couldn't answer.
"What did I expect..."
I placed it down gently and continued walking through the lush landscape, collecting berries, apples, water, etc. for my breakfast. It wasn't the most comfortable style of life, but it was more than enough to keep me alive. I had built up a solid reputation with the creatures in the forest, and they were warm and loving to me as I went to my usual spot; a wooden tree house I had built myself using materials from the forest. It contained a sturdy but uncomfortable wooden couch, windows, and a stash of food I had collected over my time in the forest. A good amount of it was expired by this point, but as long as it was edible I'd take it. I placed my food down on the couch, taking a bite of the berries. It's taste wasn't perfect, being a blend of juciness and hard material. The berry was probably expired by now, but that still didn't matter. As I finished my breakfast I leaned back against the couch, relaxing into it and smiling, letting the rays of sun come up against my body and just take in the moment. This forest brought great memories every time I thought of it. From the kind animals to the lush landscapes, everything was great about this place.
But as my thought finished, I suddenly felt my tree house shaking rapidly, and gasped as I looked below, widening my eyes. A massive drill was cutting through the wood, cutting it staggeringly. I jumped out of the window, scaling the tree house and clumsily holding onto the less than sturdy wood. I collapsed to the ground and looked at the drill. I got up and tried to reason with whoever was inside.
"Hey! Can you not destroy my treehouse and move on to somewhere else besides this forest?"
The drill was still rapidly moving forward, but then came to a screeching halt, and finally stopping altogether, becoming dead silent. I watched in fear as the man piloting it stepped out of the machine, a sharp knife held in his hand. He had a grey, collared long-sleeved shirt on, and a white mustache covering his face. He looked rich and royal. He looked at me in disbelief.
"A Multi-Color... I can't believe it... I've found one."
I stepped back in surprise. I didn't think that so many people could've know about my power. I questioned him, desperate for an answer.
"How do you know about my power?"
He smirked."The entire world knows. Wanted posters are everywhere. And you're worth a lot of money."
I gasped. I couldn't believe my attack on the policemen had spread so quickly all the way back then, but I guess it made sense, considering he was with the national government.
The man suddenly charged at me, yelling at the top of his lungs, "So let me kill you!"
He came in close combat with me, furiously swinging his knife near all my vital areas, but aiming for my stomach specifically, trying to send brutal punches there as well. I ran backwards frantically, trying to avoid
his attacks. I tried to reason with him again."Please! I'm sure there's some better way to get money instead of killing me!"
He ignored my plea, distracting my consciousness and getting a hard punch in my gut, blood spurting from it as I collapsed against a tree. He threw a knife at my shirt sleeve, holding me on the tree. I struggled furiously to escape, and I widened my eyes as he pulled out another knife, ready to stab me.
