Blaze charged towards us, his fist beginning to light a small spark of fire as the flame suddenly engulfed him completely. He sent his fist flying towards me, slightly burning the side of my face. He then motioned his fist towards Axel, and he also avoided the attack. Blaze suddenly opened his hand wide, revealing a flame that nearly covered the room. Axel and I jumped back promptly, getting as far away from the fire as possible. Wave, Lia, and Ian all noticed, rushing down the stairs and their eyes lighting up, the shading and light of the room clashing with the flames. Wave emitted a terrible screeching sound, as Lia rushed towards Blaze, sending a punch towards his face, with Ian teleporting behind him with a fierce kick. Blaze smirked, suddenly activating a self destruct on himself, shattering the glass on the building into millions of pieces, blood staining each and every one as Wave, Lia, and Ian were sent collapsing onto the ground, just barely missing the edge of the building. Blaze chuckled, sending the fire back into his body.
"That's enough for today. And I heard so much greatness about you guys."
Wave snapped, grabbing his arm and getting ready to twist it.
"You monster! I warned you, and now I'm going to--"
"Fight me tomorrow."
Wave grew suprised at his statement. He shrugged his shoulders, growing a more grim look.
"With the current state that you're in, you're not ready to fight me. None of you are. So I'm going to give you one day to train and prepare. I didn't mention this yet, but should you succeed in beating me, I'll grant you access to a path that will ensure amazing and massive power, enough to bring anything and anyone you want back."
He stared deep into her soul.
"Including dead family members."
She gasped, collapsing to the ground and tears forming. I called out to Blaze before he left.
"Wait!" I yelled out.
He froze.
"I've been wondering lately... I have, in a way, multiple powers, like speed, power blasts, and controlling my movement in the air with how fast or slow I fall, but every other Multi-Color I've met, I've only seen one type of power from them. I need to know why that is."
He looked at me for a moment, and simply sighed.
"I might know, I might not. Either way, I won't give you an answer."
Blaze walked out onto the ledge of the now destroyed balcony. He cocked his head towards all of us.
"I'm gonna go explore the city. I'll be back here tomorrow."
He glared at us fiercely, sending a chill down our spines with a look of no remorse. I was frustrated with his cryptic response.
He jumped down to the city, scaling and sliding across buildings, putting a leaf over his eye just before he reached the city below. Wave got in a battle position, furious at us and beginning to shout.
"I told you that he was a monster! But you didn't believe me, and look what happened? Now we've gotta train! Ahhh!"
She grabbed a pillow, fighting with it and throwing it at the wall in anger. She breathed heavily. Lia tried to offer sympathy, but Wave swatted her hand away, growling.
"I don't need your sympathy! I'm not following along with his plan. I'm gonna take him on right now!"
She ran towards the balcony, attempting to escape. I jumped in front of her just in time, blocking it. She gasped, now screaming at me.
"Get out of my way! You seriously want to train for this... this... this cheap lousy idiotic scumbag?!"
I sighed, looking at her.
"He probably won't spare us our lives if we don't go along with his plan. We'd better follow it closely if we want to live, alright?"
She looked at me, then grumbled, folding her arms and pouting.
"Whatever. I'll train, but the second he gets back here..."
She glared straight at me.
"I'll crush every bone in his body."
I sighed, relieved that she was content with my plan for now. I collected myself, walking into my room and getting changed into some fighting attire that the hotel had pre-made in the room. It wasn't much, just a robe with a few symbols on it of fire, but it would work well enough. Besides, it's sleek red outline running along it looked more than fashionable. I rushed down the stairs, nearly falling down them from my speed. Axel looked at me with a frozen look on his face.
"We're just training, not going to a party!"
I smirked at him.
"What? If I'm gonna train I might as well look nice!"
Axel gave up, dropping the argument. We opened the balcony, and Lia rushed down the building, scaling it and making it to the city below. Ian followed shortly after, getting there even faster than her with his teleportation. Axel used his shadows to make a stairway, and Wave sighed disappointedly, walking towards the stairs, given she had no powers of her own to scale the building. I picked her up in my arms and jumped down to the city, scaling the buildings just like Lia. Lia suddenly became an announcer, ready to speak.
"Alright! Here's the plan: I'm gonna go shop, and you'll all go to the alleyway Hope and Axel met me and Wave in! I'll meet you there! And Wave, you're coming with me!"
Wave suddenly shouted as Lia pulled her into her arms, carrying her and running to the store. The now trio of us followed her orders, walking to the alleyway. Ian stared at Axel and I blankly.
"You met in an alleyway?"
We ignored him, and continued walking through the city streets up to the alleyway. But right as we got to it, their was suddenly a loud scream as a lady fell to the ground, her purse being stolen as the two men rushed away, smirking and laughing as they ran. We got into action, but we couldn't use our powers. I rushed towards them with all that I had, while Ian scaled the buildings, ready to fight. The men avoided my punch, counter-attacking with a punch straight into my chest, blood spiraling from it. I responded by kicking them in the leg, as Ian threw a kick as well, sending them crashing to the floor as they collapsed against the walls of the alleyway. They were knocked out cold, so we'd be safe for a while. The lady stared at us, then smiled gratefully.
"Thank you so much. Is there any way I can repay you?"
Ian began to speak excitedly.
"Well, money would always be--"
"We're fine, thanks!"
I cut him off just as he spoke, and he stared at me angrily as the lady thanked us one more time, grabbing her purse and walking away. He growled at me.
"We could've gotten some sweet cash! Why did you interrupt me?!"
I sighed, pushing him away.
"We don't need money at the moment. Lia and Wave are already rich from other jobs, so we're perfectly fine!"
Ian suddenly perked up, curious about my statement.
"Wait, what do they do?"
I smiled at him, eager to explain.
"They're singers!"
