Ian stared dead in the face at Axel, furious at his attempt to save Wave. Wave gasped, staring at Axel. Ian then growled, throwing off his eyepatch and revealing his blinding, bursting bright azure blue and ocean teal hybrid eyes, sending a punch with an attempt to punch Axel hard in the face failing. Axel grabbed his arm, throwing him onto the hard ground and kicking him. We all stared at him, terrified of the fight that would ensue. Lia shouted at him.
"Don't go that far! C'mon, his mother's gone! Give him a break!"
Axel scowled at her, clenching his fists.
"So you're just gonna let your sister die?"
Lia stepped back, not wanting to speak further. Ian got up fiercely, throwing a kick to Axel to no avail. He grabbed his leg, hitting it constanly with blood spurting out sharply. He threw him into the wall, engulfing his hands in a fist and punching Ian furthermore into the wall as well. He collapsed to the ground, coughing out blood. I cried out to Axel.
"That's enough! He's been through so much already, you want to make it worse?!"
Axel stared at me, then sent a punch at me as well, slamming me into the wall by Lia. She helped me up, pulling me close by her side. Axel was becoming a monster, as well as Ian. Wave continued staring in terror, not knowing what to do. Lia grabbed her as well, protecting her sister. Ian was quick to react, getting up and shouting at Axel.
"You monster! You're just gonna let her actions go? It's her fault my mother's gone! Can you excuse that?!"
Axel sent another punch at Ian, holding him in the air with no remorse.
"We saved your life. And I'm not gonna let you hurt my teammate."
Ian stared, with his exciting and joyous expression fading to a much grimmer, more severe stare. Ian was unable to teleport, because of Axel's grasp. Axel then suddenly pummeled Ian into the wall one final time, the entire house coming apart and rubble completely being destroyed and shattering on the ground. Axel charged towards Ian, sending brutal punches in his chest in no time at all, blood and wounds arising from this. Axel then kicked him hard in the leg, and finally using his shadows to give him a monstrous and unforgiving punch straight in his chest, blood bursting out wildly and his shirt being nearly destroyed and the cloth falling onto the ground. Ian's entire right side of his face was bloody and battered now, with his arms completely soaked in blood. That was enough. I lunged at Axel, releasing a power blast. He swiftly avoided it, punching me in the face.
"Don't get in my way." Axel said to me fiercely. "He is not one of us. He is our enemy. He became our enemy the moment he attacked Wave."
He sent me collapsing into the ground, rubble being completely destroyed and causing a small earthquake. Citizens began to take note, finding Ian's bloody body and me being attacked. One rushed at Axel, while another attempted to save Ian. Axel destroyed them both, sending a furious kick at the man and punching the other citizen in the leg. Citizens tried with all their might to stop Axel's rampage, but each and every one was torn to shreds. Lia stepped in, still protecting her sister, and making futile attempts to stop Axel. She was cut down promptly, being pummeled into the ground. Axel finally held Ian in the air, single handedly sending about 100 punches at him in no time at all, breaking Ian down to his limit. He sent his shadow at Ian, cutting his arms and legs. Blood splattered and burst all around, with Ian barely managing to stand from the wounds. Axel didn't care if anyone saw him as a Multi-Color. He was only going to destroy Ian, if nothing else. Right as he got ready to destroy Ian, ready to take his very life, Axel hesitated. He had realized the monster he had become, being no different than Ian's own ambition against Wave. Ian breathed heavily and shakily catching his breath. Axel let go, Ian coughing out blood and it running down his mouth. Ian stared at him, with a look of confusion. Ian got up, glaring with the sharpest, fiercest look I had ever seen. He got up swiftly, wiping the dust off his clothing. He closed his eyes.
"I'll make one thing clear; I hate all of you. In fact, I want you all dead. You are monster's, with no right to call yourself 'heroes'. But--" Ian paused, "my mother is gone, and by now everyone in this town hates me. So I'll join your so called 'team'. Don't expect me to say a word to any of you, especially Wave."
Ian began walking, with his head down and his face broken, tears pouring down it. Axel sighed. Wave stared, her eyes widened back as far as they could with her body drenched with tears. Lia helped her get up.
"You did all you could."
Wave smacked her hand away, now furious.
"You shut up! I am so tired of your constant happiness! It's my fault she's dead! It's my fault that Ian's given up everything! So shut your mouth! I never should've saved you! I should've let you burn! Get out of my life!"
The wave of dread had became the only emotions we could even grasp, forgetting all the happiness from before hand, all the experiences destroyed, and our mood completely shattered without a warning. Rain become booming down, thunder and lightning coming down promptly and only adding to the despair, flooding our bodies and the entire town. Wave gasped, realizing her words. Lia suddenly rushed off towards Ian, tears running like a waterfall down her face. Wave cried out to her sister, but she turned away, unable to face her. She fell to the ground, her guilt at max and her limit reached. I sighed.
"Let's just get back to the city. We'll find somewhere to stay and figure out things."
Axel nodded, with Wave staying completely emotionless. I carried Wave over my back, as we walked through the destroyed and flooded city. Citizens stared, at us, glaring with a look of hatred. I walked to the front of the group, letting them know we would be going to the city. No one responded, with their faces completely devoid of emotion. I looked away from them, and continued walking, slight tears dripping down my face. We hopped onto a distraught and heartbroken Lia as she sped off towards the city.
