it was an unusual morning today, the usually loud students were sent to hushed whispers, everyone either having their hand cupped over a friend's ear or mouth gasped wide open, ears perked up at the gossip that was circulating through the whole school in the early hours of the day.

it was known today morning that a student, miyuki tomita had gone missing exactly a week ago.

quite unnerving that the police had just informed the public about the missing girl that morning when they could have a week ago.

but of course, a normal peaceful town would haven't experienced the terror of a missing girl, but peculiarly it seems so that it has and the news has been running in and out of the whole school and town, new bizarre details added to the tale each time it sloshed through someone's mouth.

it's unbelievable how it's been only a few hours and (y/n) could swear she heard someone say that the poor girl was abducted by aliens or some other weird shit.

and these strange details were making (y/n) indescribably angry, it was known all over the school that she was the last to see her face to face (she didn't even know that until someone had told her) and random students have came up to her in the past hour asking about if any of the rumors were true.

oddly enough, the students around her thought she would know all the answers to their dumb questions, just cause she was apparently a suspect(?) and was the last one to see her in a week.

and (y/n) couldn't help but wonder how stupid her classmates could be.

like she could know if she was kidnapped by aliens or by a mad scientist for his experiment of some sort.

 "(y/n), wait up!"

turning around, she sighs at the ruffled appearance of chifuyu, who was holding a bagel in one hand and his bookbag in another, shirt untucked, while his hair sprayed in different directions.

eyebrows raise at the boy's appearance as she tries to walk away from him, his voice echoing through the hallways while she quickly picks up her speed, giggling at the blonde boy who was yelling apologies to the people he bumped into, stopping at the end of the corridor for him, his half-assed running shaping into a full sprint, almost taking her down with him when he stumbled across someone's foot.

"why the hell were you running?" he huffs, hands on his knees before grabbing the girl's arm for support, her eyes narrowing on his palms as she sighs distastefully.

"it was because you had bagel creme smothered all over face...come here idiot" she scolds pulling him closer to her before sliding her finger on the corner of chifuyu's mouth, his lips erupting in a smile as he leans closer to her palms, cheeks hot under the pads of her fingers.

"yeah yeah whatever, i brought the manga you wanted," he says swatting her hands away after they linger near his face for too long (it was actually because he didn't want her to feel his bashful face any longer), while he reaches into his bookbag to grab the book.

eyes twinkle at his words before snatching the manga out of his hands, her swift reaction time almost knocking chifuyu off of his feet.

"you know long i wanted this volume, i almost beat this girl's ass for it" she rambles, nearly embracing the book, giddily smiling to herself in joy, and this time it was chifuyu's turn to raise his eyebrows, chuckling under his breath, as his hand twitches to hold her's.

and just as he was going to clasp his hand around her's, the bell rings, dismissing students to their next periods as the girl quickly puts away the manga, promising to give it back by tomorrow, while they both stride to their next class, making chifuyu internally face-palm himself and flush in dire embarrassment.
