Carnival!

A few days after they confessed...

        Garcello and Annie were going to go on a fun carnival date at Funky Flags! Funky flags got its name because once a year in summer, the dearests preform here! The last performance was a cute Mommy - Daughter duet with girlfriend and Mommy Mearest. But anyway, on with the story!

        Garcello waited for Annie near the entrance patiently. Annie lived a bit further from the carnival than Garcello, so it took a little longer for her to arrive. Tonight, all of the dearests(including boyfriend) were preforming a song that they all wrote themselves. It's called "heartstopper". Garcello thought they got that name from the book,"Heartstopper".
        A few minutes later, Garcello heard his liquid - obsessed best friend call out to him as she ran over to him.

        "Garcy!" Annie called out. She jumped into his arms and the two hugged tightly. Garcello chuckled. "Hey Annie!" He said. He kissed her on the cheek. Annie blushed brightly. "I-I thought we wouldn't do that In public!" She said, covering her face with her hands. Garcello smiled. "You're so cute when you're embarrassed." He said. "But we don't have to do it in public if you aren't comfy with it. Now cmon, let's go get some tickets :)"

        "Can I ride on your shoulders?" Annie asked nervously. Annie was afraid of heights, but not when Garcello carried her.
        "Uhh.. sure!" Garcello replied.

        Garcello crouched down and Annie crawled on his shoulders. He stood up and held Annie's ankles to make sure she didn't fall over and get hurt. The two went over to the ticket booth and got some tickets.

        "What should we ride?" Garcello asked. Annie looked around nervously. "Hmm.. you pick!" She said. Garcello looked around. His eyes immediately darted towards the Ferris wheel. "How about we ride the Ferris wheel?" He said. "It's nice and slow and a good first ride!"

Annie reluctantly said yes. The tall ride was a bit intimidating to her, but since it was slow and Garcello wanted to do it, she gave in. The duo went over to the ride and waited in line for a while. Eventually it was time for them to get on the ride. Garcello gave the ride attendant their two tickets and they got on.

        The two sat next to each other. Annie held onto Garcello's hand tightly. "Annie, love? What's wrong?" Garcello asked. "You seem really nervous.." Annie looked at the bottom of the seat. "Nothing.. I'm just kinda afraid of heights.." Garcello looked suprised for a moment. "That's okay! I'll help you get over it!" He pulled her into a nice hug. "And I'll be beside you the whole time."
    "Thank you garcy.."
    "always!"
                                                 After the ride was over..
        "huh.. that wasn't so scary at all!" Annie said. She smiled up at Garcello. "Told ya!" He replied, smiling back. The duo walked together while holding hands. It was starting to get dark and the dearests are preforming soon. Suddenly Garcello's stomach growled. "Garcy, are you hungry? We can go get some snacks if ya want!" Annie said. "Yeah! I actually am pretty hungry.." he replied. "Let's go to the hotdog stand!"

        The two went over to the hotdog stand. Then they noticed that the worker there was the same person who told EVERYONE that they were dating..
        "Sarvente? What are you doing here?" Annie said looking up at the taller woman. Sarv was even taller than Garcello, who was almost 6 feet tall! "Hey Annie and Garcello!" She said. "I see you two are going on your first date!" Annie blushed a bright red. "I-It's not a date!" She exclaimed. "Me and garcy just wanted to.." Annie went silent. "Okay.. fine! Maybe it is a date." She said, looking at the ground. Sarv and Garcello snickered. "She's not used to being open about our relationship.. yeah, it is a date!" Garcello said, scratching the back of his head. Garcello and Annie were still holding hands. "Okay anyways, what would you two like to eat today?" Sarv said.

        The two ordered their food and went to go sit down where the dearests were preforming. Other people gathered around in the seats as time went on. Garcello and Annie ate their hotdogs while waiting for the show to start.  Mrs. Mearest went up to the microphone to do the same old speech she does every year, thanking everyone who was able to help make lyrics and the instrumental, Thanking everyone for coming, and having everyone do the little "3, 2, 1, Go!" Right before the song started. And then, the song started.

        "This song reminds me of you, garcy :)" Annie said while smiling at Garcello. The smoker blushed. "You're so sweet annie!" He said smiling and looking at Annie. The two lightly kissed each other and turned back towards the show. Annie rested her head on Garcello's shoulder and Garcello put his arm around her. They stayed like this for the rest of the song.

        after the song ended the duo got up and got ready to leave. "That was amazing!" Said Annie. "It was!" Garcello said. "I thought of you for most of it though, hehe." Annie blushed. "Me too!" She replied. The two began walking home.

        On the way home, Garcello began humming a familiar tune. Annie recognized that he was humming heartbass. She began to him with him. Sooner or later, they were singing the whole song, just replacing the names "Whitty" and "Carol" with their own. As they neared Garcello's home, they sang the last lyrics to the song together; "its just you and me garcyyy! (Annie!!) we were really meant to be! They laughed as they went on inside.

        Garcello chuckled. "All that really started from me humming a familiar tune, huh!" He said. "Well yeah! We were there when Carol and Whitty sang it and I recognized it!" Annie said smiling. Garcello smiled back at her. "You know all the songs I know dont ya?" He said "Well, yeah! We basically have the same playlist!" She replied. Garcello hugged Annie tightly and said; "This is why I love you so much ann'."
"I love you too garcy!!" Annie replied. "So much :)"

        The two eventually got ready for bed and climbed into bed together. They cuddled and had some random conversations about random things while showing each other TikToks, laughing too loud, speaking too soft. They got more tired as the night went on. Eventually, they decided to go to sleep. "I love you, Garcy.." Annie said softly. "I love you too Ann'!" Garcello replied. Then the two dozed off to sleep.
