Y/n's POV

I stared in horror as Liz's body hit the hard, cold floor, the expression of shock still frozen on her face

I knew I should've gone to help, or seen if anything could've been done, but it was like my feet were stuck to the floor

And no matter what I told myself, I knew that she couldn't have survived something like that

"Liz" I heard Toomes gasp out, as he rushed to her side, "Liz, Liz can you hear me?"

That got me moving towards them, trying not to wince as my sight fell onto the gory wound that the weapon had left behind

"Dad..." Liz gasped, through a raggedy breath

"Yeah, yeah sweetheart, it's dad" he said, his voice cracking

I didn't know what to do...

It seemed too personal of a moment to intervene, especially since... well, it was pretty much all my fault

"Dad" she repeated, "I want to go home"

Her voice began to fade towards the end, and her breathing became slower and slower

"Yeah- yeah we'll get you right home, just stay- stay awake for me, please" Toomes begged, his voice full of pain

"I'll stay- I'll stay awa-" she started, but then it was over

The sound of her soft breathing faded away, and her eyes became glassy and cold, as the last wisps of life left them

Toomes gave out a cry of pure pain, punching the ground so hard it left splintering cracks

I don't really know what I was thinking when I approached him

Maybe it would've been safer to stay away, especially when he was in that state of anger

But I knew what it was like to lose your entire world

"I'm sorry-" I started, as I knelt down beside him... and beside her body

"Stop" he said, anger brewing in his voice

"Wha-"

"STOP" he yelled, and the same fist that had just punched the ground with flew straight at me, with the same amount of vigor, maybe even more

The fist connected with my stomach, sending a sharp jolt of pain through my abdomen, but I was quick to get back onto my feet

"Sir, you have to calm down" I gasped, clutching my stomach in pain and backing away from him

"You don't deserve to mourn after what you did to her" he said, completely ignoring what I said and advancing forwards

There was definitely going to be no reasoning with him right now, so all I could do now was hold him off until the code was uploaded, hopefully without getting beat up too bad in the process

"It was an accident" I said, trying to keep him talking

That probably wasn't the smartest thing to say, since it only seemed to make him angrier

"An accident?" He growled, his voice full of fury, "That's all my daughter's death was to you? An ACCIDENT?!?"

This time, I anticipated his blow, and leapt out of the way before his exceedingly tough fists could come near me

But suddenly, his wings, which I had completely forgotten about blasted out once again and he came shooting towards me at one heck of a speed

I wouldn't have been able to dodge it even if I was in the condition to...
