Movies make things seem more fun than they are

Y/n's POV

A weapon about to blow, ten seconds on the clock and a bridge full of innocent bystanders...

Just like the scenes in those action movies

So I did what any sensible movie person in that situation would do

"EVERYONE TAKE COVER!" I yelled as I blasted the weapon as far away from the bridge as it would go, which wasn't really far, as the ice on it was really weighing it down

My bad...

A whole lotta screaming filled the air as the weapon exploded seconds after I had blasted it into the sky

"Hey, at least everyone's okay..." I said to Leo as the explosion occured

"At the moment they are" he replied, once again crushing my hopes

I mean seriously. Why did those AI's have to be so negatively practical.

But once again, Leo was right. It was getting annoying.

I had forgotten one crucial detail when I sent the weapon flying away

Right across the bridge, there was a dam, holding back gallons of water (A/n - I know the actual bridge doesn't have a dam but I need a dam so lets just pretend there is one)

The rays from the exploding weapon sent cracks splintering across the dam's wooden surface, causing some of the water raging against its walls to leak through

"Dam, we're all going to die (Percy Jackson fans, where you at)" I muttered to no one in particular

"Now, I don't wanna hear that negative attitude," Leo interrupted, "Look on the bright side"

He did NOT get to say that.

"Yay! We're gonna die! Wooo!" I cheered sarcastically

While me and Leo were having this completely useless conversation, the cracks had begun to increase, and the water level under the bridge was rising with it.

If the walls cracked even more, all of the water could come crashing at us at once...

Awesome.

"Leo, give me an x-ray of the dam and target all the strongest points" I yelled urgently

My view of the dam switched to a blue grey X Ray colour and a couple of points on the dam were highlighted in a deep red.

I blasted ice at the dam as fast as I could, but the water kept on pushing through and melting the ice as fast as I could make it

"Leo, can this suit do anything to the ice to stop it from melting so fast" I asked, desperately trying to stop the water from pushing through

"I can try to convert your regular ice to dry ice-"

"-so that it can only be melted by warm water!" I finished off for him, "That's brilliant Leo!"  (A/n - Idk if that's accurate I literally just searched it up)

This time, when I blasted the ice, it stayed and didn't melt, even though it didn't look particularly secure

I sped across the dam, blasting the dry ice from all directions

I finally landed on top of the dam, tired from using my powers so much

"Great job, Y/n," Leo said, "the dam is secure"

The crowd began to cheer in relief and happiness

I gave my fans a wave and I even blew them a few kisses
