"May I help you?." asked the receptionist at the reception of the Academy. "Hi, I am Amaira. I am a Fresher here." Before she could say anything further the receptionist interrupted, "In case you haven't read the notice on bulletin board, All the freshers are requested to gather in Main Hall towards the left of reception." Amaira nodded and went inside the hall.
Several Boys and Girls were settled in their seats. After searching for a while Amaira settled herself on a seat beside a girl with spectacles wearing kurta and jeans and reading a book.
After 10 minutes of awkward silence Amaira broke the silence and said "Hi, I am Amaira."But the girl ignored as if she didn't even exist and continued reading her book. Amaira huffed and turned back to her seat.
After half an hour the Announcer approached the announcer's booth and said "WELCOME FRESHERS TO ST. HARDFORD ACADEMY. We are very pleased to have you in our prestigious institute.
Now, we will distribute some papers to you which contain information about your dorm rooms, your classes, your roll no etc. So collect it from the reception booth and let me once again welcome you in our Academy, May your five years be glorious, Thank You".
Amaira received her paper, searched for her name and murmured,"Amaira, Girl's hostel: Second floor, Room no 34A."She smiled and walked towards the third portion of her college, 'THE ST. HARDFORD'S GIRLS HOSTEL'.
She went inside and saw many girls with different hairstyles as well as hair color. This was all new to her yet somehow she calmed herself down and kept walking. The hostel was very clean as if she was present in a corporate office. Everything was painted in white and each door was dark blue in color with golden name plate numbers such as 1A,1B etc.
She climbed up the stairs and searched for her room. After 2 mins, At the end of the floor near the big glass door balcony she found her room "34A", she whispered and slid open the door knob.
