Next Day Amaira woke up early and got dressed. She checked her watch, there were still 30 minutes left until her first class. So she went for breakfast in the mess hall where Anuradha was already waiting for her. She took a glass of milk and some apple slices and joined her on her table.
"So you're telling me that you were homeschooled for 10 years and you are an introvert, But I don't get it if you are an introvert how come you are so calm and open minded about the situations you faced?" Anuradha asked while munching her breakfast.
"Well you know I have watched many movies related to all College life drama; So I have always dreamed to have such life, Now that I have it, I am embracing it and being open minded atleast trying to. But there are certain things, like I don't have much courage to talk to popular people. It always makes me nervous and it takes a really long time to bond with them," Amaira said. "Hmm.. that's really complicated but I can manage." Anuradha said and laughed. Amaira smiled and went back to eating her breakfast.
After finishing their breakfast they went to attend their classes where another problem was waiting for them. When they came in their classroom all the seats were occupied by students and only once which were left were second bench and second last bench. Anuradha quickly sat on the second bench.
But before Amaira could react their professor came in and saw Amaira by the door. "Why are you standing near the door? Do I need to tell you to be seated before the teacher comes or are you so busy chit chatting with your friend that you do not bother." The professor shouted. Amaira apologized and got seated.
"Ok class, let me first welcome you to our Academy. I am Mrs Anandi, your professor of Business Communications subject, but before starting today's lecture I am going to assign you some activity. Basically I want to see your communication skills, So each of you will be appointed a partner and a topic to discuss about. Let me tell you your partners will be your seniors and you have to tell them about your given topic to make them understand. Those topics will be based on novels related to literature. Make it interesting so it will be easier for them to understand because they are going to give a speech based on information given by all of you. So if they are not able to describe the topic, that team will suffer consequences by giving a speech to the whole class every week until the end of the year so take it very seriously. You have a week to prepare. Next week I will check each and every speech." Mrs Anandi then continued with her lecture starting with basics of business communication and difference between normal and business communication.
BELL RANG. Mrs Anandi left.
The rest of the classes were pretty much based on introductions. When the classes were over Amaira and Anuradha headed back towards their dorm room.
"How am I supposed to do this! The first day itself has been a bad start, god knows how the rest of the five years will be." Amaira complained. " Calm down girl, it's no big deal, It will be a piece of cake. Trust me." Anuradha said with ease. "Easy for you to say I can't even talk to others and that too with seniors, it will be far worse" Amaira snapped.
Before Anuradha can react, Amaira received a text message. she checked her phone and her eyes went wide and screamed, "WHAT! The partner for my assignment is THE Karan Bhatt! and the topic for the project is Shakespeare's Midnight Summer Dream!"
What will Amaira do, now that she has to collaborate with her savior senior Karan Bhatt....Will she be successful in her project and collaboraton or will she fail?
