"Where have you been?! I texted you and called you 10 times to meet me in the library constantly for 3 days and you didn't even show up or inform me." Karan shouted at Amaira on college grounds.
"I am really sorry I can't help you, I can't do this! Y-you are a topper, popular a-and it's really a big pressure to work with you, so here are your books related to our topic and please try to avoid me." Amaira then ran away towards her hostel building crying.
The day of the business communication test arrived, all the freshers and seniors were seated in the great hall. Amaira was nervously glancing towards Mrs. Anandi and whispered "I didn't even participate or talk to him related to our topic, I am really gonna fail."
"Hey, it's ok I know how much pressure it is to work alongside Karan, Well my project partner is Abhishek Patil and surprisingly he is also a bookworm like me and we graded each other fairly based on our performance on the topic so I am pretty confident about my presentation." Anuradha said excitedly.
"Ok children, we are gathered here today to see how are your communication skills, let me tell you that communication is one of the most important aspects in business, if you fail to communicate, you fail to do business, hence we are preparing you so that you don't fail. Now let's start today's test."
The test started and all the student groups were called one by one. After an hour Anuradha's group presented their speech, so far Anuradha's presentation was the best. Then Karan and Amaira's names were called.
Amaira stood up nervously and walked towards the stage while Karan was also surprisingly in tension. Karan stood on the stage. "Well, Karan my boy, let's hear your speech but before that how did Amaira give her presentation to you?"Mrs. Anandi asked. Karan looked towards Amaira, while Amaira was looking on the floor waiting to hear her shame scold.
"She did very well and my presentation will prove it," Karan said. Amaira's eyes went wide, she was surprised. Karan then gave the best possible speech and everyone applauded. Mrs. Anandi was also happy. The test ended. Mrs. Anandi stood up and congratulated everyone and announced that everyone had passed their test.
After the session Amaira went towards Karan and said "Thank you very much and I am sorry for my earlier behavior." "See Fresher, I am glad that you at least gave me the notes and hence I saved you. I know working with me is nerve cracking so don't worry. I will make sure that this never happens." he smiled and went away with his group.
Amaira was sad, she was very upset about her behavior and mindset. For once she wanted to be confident in her life and she blew it away. That night at her dorm she slept with tears in her eyes thinking that she will be a lonely, fearsome girl forever.
