It makes sense when I think about it. Why I am uncomfortable looking in mirrors, why in my memories my family was wearing very plain grey clothes. I get up and run to the Bureau. I need answers immediately. I will do anything to remember everything.

When I get there, I burst through the doors. I get more than a few looks. Two guards start to make their way over. I turn and run down the corridor to the doctor's office. In retrospect it might have been smarter to walk so I didn't draw attention to myself but it's not like I'm doing anything illegal.

"Hey you, stop!" One of the guards shouts. I should probably stop running but if they caught up, I knew I would never get any answers today.
"Why are there so many guards around anyways?" I wonder, noticing two guards at the end of the hall and two more positioned throughout the hall.

The other guards give quisitive looks in my direction as I run passed and I see them start to move slowly. This whole thing has become more crazy then it needed to be. Especially since I wasn't doing anything wrong.

"Beatrice!" Shouts one of the guards. "Stop!" That makes me slow done for a second. "How does he know my name?" I panic. I try to run down another corridor to escape but to my dismay find even more guards. Finally, I find a corridor that isn't riddled with so many guards. I hide out there looking around the corner every now and again. I hear a noise from down the hall I'm standing in. I freeze.

I see a short figure walking towards me. It seems like he is reading something. Maybe he'll be distracted and pass without noticing I'm here. No such luck.

"Hey, are you lost?" He shouts. I wince, not only did he see me but by now the guards will know where I am.

I run towards him. "I need your help." I tell him keeping my head down.

"Okay, sure," he says hesitantly. I hear footsteps behind me.

"There she is!" One of the many guards shouts. I tense. The man in front of me seems to get a sense of the situation as he leaps into action.

Follow me!" He says quickly running down the hall the way he came. I run fast after him. "I don't know who you are, or why a bunch of guards are after you, but I am helping you, just this once." He tells me still running.

"Thanks." I pant beside him. I haven't sprinted in forever. At least not while panicking. I feel a sense of de ja vu though, like I've had to run like this from someone before. Finally we reach the end of the hall.

He pulls me into a room and locks the door. We are both quiet as we listen to the footsteps thundering passed. A few of the voices outside swear. "We are going to be in so much trouble," one of the voices whine.

"Would you relax?" One of them demands. "We are going to find her. Now quit whining and move."

When we can't here the voices anymore I let out a deep breath. I finally look at our hiding place. It's an old janitors closet. "We couldn't run to my lab, they saw me, they might be go there. He has a point. He reaches behind him and pulls a string. A dull light comes on. I can finally see him. He looks familiar. I know I've seen him briefly before.

I gasp as my memories of him become sharper. I suddenly remember his name.
