~ Chapter One ~

~ No One's POV ~

Just moment ago, Rei Todoroki had just given birth to a pair of beautiful twins: one boy, and one girl. The were swaddled tightly in her arms as she gently rocked them while sleeping peacefully. This gave her time to rest and recover after the stress her body had gone through!

But, just like all good things that go on in the world, they eventually had to end. Her excited daughter, Fuyumi, burst into the hospital room with a look of joy on her face.

"Mom! Mom! Can I see them? Please?" She pleaded, clasping her hands together almost bursting with glee.

"F-Fuyumi!" Natsuo yelled closely behind her, "Don't yell! You need to be quiet!" He scolded his older sister, grabbing her by the wrists.

"Says the one who's yelling right now!" Fuyumi defended, sticking her tongue out at him with satisfaction.

He rolled his eyes at her ways, and continued to catch his breath from chasing his sister down.

Rei giggled at her children's antics, "It's alright, Natsuo!"

Fuyumi huffed in satisfaction, as Natsuo gave a defeated sigh.

"But," She added, "He is right, Fuyumi. Try and keep your voices down! Your wouldn't want to wake the twins, now would you?" She teased.

Almost instantly, Fuyumi's eyes lit up as she realized that the twins were there. She squealed in delight, and managed to get out of her brother's grasp. She rushed to her mom's bedside, impatient to hold her new baby siblings.

Natsuo rolled his eyes at his sister's excitement, but eventually made his way over to his mom and siblings.

"Which one would you like to hold first?" Rei asked her kids.

Natsuo shrugged his shoulders, "I don't really care..." he mumbled.

Fuyumi was jumping up and down at this point, "I want both! I want to hold both of them, Mom!" She whisper-yelled.

Rei gave them a soft smile, and started to hand them each a baby to each of her children, when she heard the door to her room open once again.

She turned to see who it was, and the soft smile on her face almost instantly faded to an emotionless blank stare.

"Hello, Enji..." She blankly stated, acknowledging his presence.

He gave her his usual angry glare, "Rei..." he firmly replied.

He turned his attention from his wife, to focus his gaze on his two small children, "Fuyumi, Natsuo, your mom and I need to talk in private, go to the waiting room with Toya." He demanded.

They looked at each other with the same solemn expression and let out a sigh. They sadly walked out of the room hand in hand.

Once Enji heard the door click shut, the room went awkwardly silent for a moment. He turned to Rei and made his way over to her bedside. As he stood there next to her, he was examining his children who were fast asleep in Rei's arms.

He slightly frowned, "Have we tested them to see if they had manifested their quirks yet?" He asked making eye contact with her.

She rolled her eyes, "They were born moments ago, Enji. What do you think?" She spat.

The frown on his face deepened at her sarcastic remark, but he put that comment aside, and held his hands out to her, "Give me my children." He demanded.

She nodded, and hesitantly gave the twins to their father. He took a second to get them situated in his arms before Rei said anything.

"Aren't they just precious?" She gushed, admiring the two newborns.
