~ (y/n)'s POV ~

!WARNING! This chapter contains violence, so if you are uncomfortable with that, I'm just giving you a warning so that you don't get mad at me for leading you into this blindly. !WARNING!

Toya quickly set me down and knelt down on one knee to meet my eyes, "(y/n), stay here! If you move even an inch and end up dying, I swear to Jesus fucking Christ that I will kill you!" He warned.

After his threats-I mean, instructions, he kissed my forehead, and ruffled my hair before running into the burning building, leaving all alone to man the motorcycle.

I watched as he ran into the flame infested building as if he had nothing to lose. He had told me in the past that he had wanted to be a hero like All Might: one who runs into action, saves the day, and always has a smile on his face no matter the situation!

In my opinion, he needs to work on the smiling part of things, but besides that, I believe that he will be one of the best heroes one day! Besides, he's already my hero...so what other qualifications does he need?

I nervously gripped my helmet in my hands, hoping that everything was going fine and that Toya was staying safe!

My focus wavered from the burning building, when I noticed a tree had caught fire!

I didn't want to make Toya mad, but I also didn't want to just stand by and be useless! So I activated my quirk, and ran over to the crackling tree.

I took a deep, yet shaky breath to calm my nerves and created a fire hose-like jet of water at the tree. It almost instantly burned out and I felt motivated to keep putting out more fires!

After I had put out a few more minor fires, my gaze shifted back to the flaming building and my eyes widened as I saw Toya's blue flames incorporate itself with the orange and red inferno.

That means that this fire wasn't a fluke...there were actual villains!

"TOYA!" I screamed in worry, "TOYA!"

There was silence except for the crackling and sizzling coming from the building. I thought something terrible had happened to him, and almost took off to find him, when I heard a loud crash come from above me.

I looked up in shock to see that someone had smashed the window about four stories above ground. Glass started to rain down and I covered my face in protection, but the sharp glass ended up slicing my skin over and over.

I hissed and wailed in pain. I was about to activate my quirk to make a barrier to shield myself from the glass, when I hear Toya, "(y-y/n)!" He shouted hoarsely.

I looked up just in time to see my brother, but not how I had hoped, he was all bloody and bruised with a few new burn marks on his arms.

I was about to shout something back at him, when I felt an extra sharp piece of glass sliced me from my left eyebrow, all the way to the top of my cheek.

I screamed in pain as this happened. I fell to my knees and cupped my left eye. I started to sob, my body violently shaking. I open my right eye to see all of these new found lacerations on my arms and legs.

I activated my quirk and cleaned out my wounds to the best of my ability. I looked around and saw a scrap of fabric caught on a tree branch.

I took a few deep breaths before attempting to stand up. When I tried, I just flopped back over and yelped as I hit the pavement. This time, instead of walking, I crawled over to the tree and used it to help hoist me up.

After I got used to standing, I started to get on my tip toes and reach for the strip of fabric. I was just barely tall enough, and I yanked it down, This cause me to let go of my eye, and I just stared at it with pure horror! My hand was dripping with my blood! I fought back the urge to throw up, but ultimately failed to to my dehydration and disgust.

I wiped my mouth clear of vomit, and quickly tied the piece of fabric around my head, putting pressure o the wound across my left eye.

I looked back at the burning building in determination and started to run! Even though I my body had gone through a lot in the past few minutes, I was not about to just stand by on the sidelines and watch my brother get even more hurt than he already is!

While I was running up the staircase of the abandoned apartment building, all that was on my mind was my eye.

I was bleeding really bad back in the parking lot, and even though the makeshift bandage helped, I didn't know what to think! By some miracle, would I be able to see out of it again? Or will worse come to worst and I will be blind in my left eye or possibly lose it?

I rushed that bone shivering thought to the back of my mind when I saw a blue light that glowed from a doorway. I smiled knowing that my brother was still well enough to be able to use his quirk.

I ran over to the door frame, observing what was going on.

Toya was in the kitchen by the front door, using a long distance attack on the villain dude in the dining room at the back of the apartment.

The villain seemed to have some sort of fire quirk like my dad's but on a less extreme level. I couldn't make out and distinct features other than that he was a male with a pale complexion.

I turned my attention back to my brother. I was in awe at how he was using his quirk and his fighting style. I had never seen him use his quirk in action or at 100%, so this was all very exciting to me!

He had a sly smile on his face, even though his quirk was causing him to burn himself even more than he already was, making me cringe. I hated seeing people I knew and loved get hurt knowing that I couldn't do anything about it.

I knew Toya had it under control, but he still worried me with the 'what if's' and the 'maybe's'.

The villain appeared to be wearing some sort of fireproof material and kept inching his way closer and closer to Toya.

I could see in my brother's eyes that he was getting frustrated by the fact that his quirk had no affect on this man, but he kept pushing harder in hopes that something would eventually happen.

I was getting too stressed out with all of the tension happening in this fight, and I unconsciously did something that I really shouldn't have.

"Toya! Look out!"
