"Look guys, I don't need to be baby sat okay." Thea whined, sitting on the cold concrete floor of the school locker room. "I'm fine."

"The dread doctors said your condition had improved, that means they are interested in you, so... stay and read the damn book." Scott pleaded for the tenth time.

"Fine." She grumbled, looking over at Liam comforting Hayden.

Thea's frown was wiped off when she Hayden and Liam blushing, it was cute, Thea couldn't help but smile at the two.

Stiles's POV

"You know I saw his teeth." Theo stated, looking at my confused face.
"Donovan. He was a... wendigo, wasn't he?"

"Yeah." I shrugged.

"That's the cannibal one, right?" Theo looked at me, waiting for me to confirm.

"Native American. The myth says that if you ate human flesh, your punishment was to turn into a creature that constantly craved it." I explained.

"That's a pretty judgmental myth-"

"Yeah, well, I didn't make it up." I sassed, annoyed by the topic of conversation and the company.

"What if it was the only way to survive?" He asked, I knew he what he was hinting at but he kept talking before I could interrupt.
"I mean, you ever heard of the Donner party? I'm pretty sure they didn't turn into Wendigos."

"Yeah? Well, they didn't live in beacon hills." I sighed, purely to shut him up.

"So what the punishment for killing a chimera?" Theo taunted, trying to get a reaction out of me.

"You spend five hours in the car with Theo Raeken." I smiled sarcastically, all Theo did was chuckle.

"I know what my punishment is. I'm gonna lose my best friend." I sighed, Trying to hold myself to together as I looked out the side window so he couldn't see the glassy shine that formed over my eyes.
"I'm gonna loose Scott."

Thea's POV
I sat patiently next to Lydia and Scott, still hiding in the locker room.

Bored out of my mind I continued trying to read, only to be met with pounding headache.

"Stop reading!" The dark voice returned only this time it full of rage, so much that I flinched at the sound of it.

"Scott I can't read this." I huffed dropping the book on the floor cold the I sat on.

"I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important, I know this must be so confusing for you, but it's only because you don't understand yet." Scott encouraged.

"No, you don't understand. I. Can't. Read. It." I replied in a whisper, knowing he can hear.

"What do mean?" Scott said in a concerned tone.

"It's-" I was cut off by the sound off chains coming from Liam's direction.

"What are we going to do with these?" Liam asked Scott, indignation in his tone.

"Brought them just incase." He answered in a guilty sigh.

"In case of what."

"In case we had a chance to catch one of them." Lydia interrupted.

"If we can't make the school a fortress, then maybe we can make it a trap." Scott explains, walking over to Liam.

"They're coming for her, does that mean she's the bait?" Liam asked, worried for his new Romero crush.

"And me I bet." I let out a poor excuse of a laugh, trying to hid my fear.

"Liam we brought them here to protect them." Lydia told him cautiously, as his anger was visibly building.

"Now they're bait." Liam's jaw clenched looking at Hayden.

"Am I?" Fear filled the girls voice.

"No," Scott turns back to face me. "No one's bait. But we can't be body guards every night."

"Then why aren't we talking to stiles' dad? Why aren't we doing something better than hiding in a school?" Liam badgered, starring down Scott.

"Because we still don't know anything about them or what they want, okay?
They're winning and we don't even know what the game is." Scott continued to explain.

"What if they come in here and those things don't work?
What if you have an asthma attack again?
What are we going to do?" Liam rants.

"I don't know." He shrugged regretfully.

"This plan fucking sucks!" He growled to his alpha.

"You got a better one? Because I'm all ears.
Kids are dying! Hayden and Thea? They're next." Scott snapped, tired of being the nice one.
"So, somebody has to do something. Somebody has has to save everyone.
Somebody's got to be the bait!" He snarled, punching the locker beside Liam off it's hinges to release his anger.

A solemness filled the room, the two boys both regretting their actions.

"Scott." Liam whispers. "Promise me you'll do anything you can to save her... Scott, promise."

"I'll do everything I can. I promise."

I would have been offended that Hayden was the one he promised to protect and not me, but I knew it was for Liam sake, not mine or Hayden's.

"Guys, I think need a little help right now.
I forgot my pills, I have a bottle in my locker. I can get them, but-" Hayden said in a panic.

"I'll get them." Scott gave her a reassuring smile.

While had pasted and there was still no sign of Scott of Lydia with Hayden's meds.

"Did you hear that?" Liam asked, probably talking to Hayden since she's the one with super hearing.

"They're here, aren't they? they're in the school." She quavered.

"Scott? Lydia?" Liam asked quietly, walking up to the door.

But knowing my luck it obviously wasn't them.
They strutted in, smashed the frequency disturber, our only 'defence'.

"we are on a frequency you can't possibly imagine."

Scott's POV
A yelp escaped me as a sharp pain came from hand.

"Sorry! Sorry, I- I was just trying to help." Mason stuttered, he made a cut in my hand to pull me out of the illusion, Kira never attacked me. "Liam said that pain makes you human."

"What happened? What are you doing here?" I asked, still disoriented.

"I found another chimera. His name is Corey." Mason replied in a respectfully proud tone.

"Wait, where's Liam?"

I rushed to the locker room, to find Lydia and Malia.

"They're gone." Lydia said in shock.
"The three of them are gone."
