Hayden, still guarding Deucalion in the operating theater, was holding the jar containing Belasko's talons—staring at it curiously.
After a moment, Deucalion, who sensed what she was doing, looked at her with amusement.

"Starting to question where your loyalties lie?" He asked. "Or, maybe... you're starting to understand your role?

Hayden rolled her eyes as she set the jar down on the table next to her.
"What role?"

"Why would Theo leave you here? Why not leave Josh, or Corey?"

Hayden frowned in confusion, which only continued to satisfy Deucalion.

"You're stronger and faster than both.
Not to mention more fearless as well, so...why?"

"I know why I'm stuck here with you. Because when it comes to Liam... I'm a liability." She sighed, leaning up against the table.

"You could leave. No one has to know." He shrugged.

Hayden gave him a "Do you think I'm stupid?" Look.
"Except for you."

"Oh, I'm no friend to Theo. You want to help Liam? Worry less about being a liability, and more about your ability to lie." He smirked, fiddling with his wolfsbane infused IV.

Stiles was still outside of the locked door through which Valack and Lydia passed earlier, beating on it—trying to break through with no success. After a moment, Stiles heard a familiar male voice from behind him.

"Let me try."

Stiles quickly moved out of the way just as Theo, who recovered from his injuries, came up from behind him, kicking the door open with one powerful strike of his leg.

Stiles looked at him with confusion for a moment before rushing through the door without a word, causing a frustrated expression to cover Theo's face as he called out after Stiles.
"You're not going to find her without me!"

When he received no response, Theo groaned under his breath before following after Stiles and Thea, who was only a few steps behind stiles.

Stiles was running as fast as he could—faster than Thea had ever seen him run—down the halls of the closed unit in an effort to find and save Lydia as Theo sprinted after him in an effort to convince them to let him help.

"Stiles! Thea!"
The two came to a stop when they reached one of the metal fence doors—which had been left ajar by someone—and they turned back toward Theo, both wearing the same cautious expression.

"I want Lydia out of here too. I have her scent." Theo said, stepping closer to them.

Stiles looked at Theo with suspicion and annoyance.
"What do you want?"

"What's the difference?" He scoffed.

Thea rolled her eyes and sighed in disbelief.
"Are you serious?"

"I can find her. Neither of you can."

All three of them became suddenly distracted by the sound of steam exiting from a vent at the top of the wall.
They walked through the hallway further, trying to find the source when they ended up inside the boys shower room.
Theo followed Lydia's scent to a sewer grate near the far wall, which Theo lifts to reveal a ladder underneath that leads to the sublevel.
"It leads to the tunnels, doesn't it?"
