"This is your brilliant idea? To barricade ourselves in the morgue?" Theo sounded as if he were holding back laughter but his expression told that he was far from impressed.

"The Ghost Riders go after the living... So, we hide with the dead." Liam explained pacing down the hall of the hospital.

The two boys looked more like werewolves than they had ever before due to the flickering lights and instinctively drawn claws.
Thea had never seen them as supernatural beings let alone monsters, but now they did look rather frightening to her.
But that wasn't what bothered her, the thought that kept circling her mind was, if they are seen as monsters what does that make me?

Crossing his arms Theo said, "I'm not getting in one of those." In a repulsed tone

"Me neither." Thea sighed, offering Liam and apologetic look.

"You should have left me in the holding cell." Theo muttered.

Thea slumped into the chair in the room, an ache building in her head.

"I should've left you in the ground." Liam spat.

"Oh, really?" Theo turned back to face the other boy, his body tense.

"Yes. Really."

Theo shook his head in disbelief, running a hand through his tousled hair. "What do you think I was doing down there? Just hanging out with my dead sister? Having a good time catching up on childhood memories?"

"I think you were rotting down there."

"Liam finally gets one thing right." All amusement had drained from his demeanour.

Thea had enough of watching the two like a bitchy tennis match, she spoke up tiredly. "We have bigger things to worry about right now, we don't need to discuss which fate Theo deserves."
Thea wanted to yell at Theo, there was so much she needed to say but she was beginning to her pulse pounding like someone was using her skull as a drum set.

Liam nodded, facing her instead of Theo as he worked his jaw, his eyes closed in frustration.
Thea's lips parted at the sight of this, not that she'd ever admit it to herself—she was deeply attracted to Liam.

"Yeah, yeah. Listen to your little girlfriend." Theo tone was cut sharp but only to injure himself.
Thea sucked in a breath. he looked broken. They're was a time where she had loved him in some way, and that part of her wanted to kiss him gently and tell him it was going to be alright, but it wasn't her place to console him.

"Shut up! Your selfish actions are why you lost her, you just can't stand to see someone teary her like a person, listen to her, respect her!" Liam laughed, he had spoke low and didn't really need to yell. It evidence that those words hit Theo like a tone of bricks was all over his face.

"Oh I can't stand this!" Theo cried out, gesturing his arm between Thea and Liam. "You think I don't see what's going on? At least keep it to yourself. Everyone can see it." He was quiet now. "I went through hell because of you, I don't need you to be the cause for my misery topside as well."

"I also think whatever happened to you, you deserved it." There was no malice to his voice, it was cold cut truth.

"Is that right?"

"When the Ghost Riders find us, I'm not gonna do anything for you. I'm not gonna help you. I'm not gonna save you. I'm gonna do exactly what you would do to me-- I'm gonna use you as bait."

"You still hear the ambulance? The siren, can you still hear it?" Thea asked, holding her head finally understanding that the pain was a warning from dear old darkness

"They're here." Theo said, instinctively reaching for Thea before ruining out of the morgue.

"They're everywhere." Theo gasped as she yanked her arm free of him, it didn't take much strength due to his gentle grip.

"Good." Liam aimed at Theo.

"You realise Thea is here too right?"

"Thea can't be hurt by them."

"Regardless, do you really need me to remind you that getting captured by the Ghost Riders isn't gonna help you save your friends?"

"We're both getting caught. You can do it while you're running. I'm going down fighting."

The boys broke off in a growl, barring their teeth and claws ready for attack while Thea stood awkwardly, not knowing how to protect them.
She couldn't be taken by them and any injuries would heal faster than any werewolf.
She had nothing to fear, yet she was terrified for them.

"Get back you idiots!" Thea held onto the back of the boys jacket collars, dragging them back towards the elevator with little struggle due to her new found strength.
She wasn't as strong as a werewolf but it was certainly an improvement to what she was previously working with.

She let out a sigh of relief as they entered, releasing her hold on them.

"Theo!" She screamed, about lung forward but Liam wrapped his arms around her, preventing her from chasing after him.

"What are you doing?" Liam shouted.

"Being the bait." He smiled, looking directly at the girl he loved.

"No!!!" Liam screamed, but the breath was gone from Thea, not a sound left her and her knees buckled and she fell deeper into the safety of Liam's arms.

"Do you think it's time? I mean—" before Marcus could finish Cynthia cut him off.

"Thea has known us long enough for trust to build, we are doing the right thing. It's our family legacy." She smiled, dusting off the white chalk on her hands from drawing the pentagram on the dirty concrete of the shed floor.

"With the wild hunt here I think it's dangerous." Marcus crossed his arms, shaking his head gently. "We could get wrapped up in it and from that there is no escape."

"Since when have you been such a worrier? You're the one selling drugs and shoplifting at any spare chance." She giggled, as she began to place two empty metal buckets in the pentagram.

"And you know how I've never been caught? By taking calculated risks. This is what I'm doing, calculating."

"Cut it with the sass, the wild hunt is a perfect cover to not grab the attention of any of the higher ups. I too know how to calculate my risks, this has been my plan all along. And it's been smooth sailing."

"Yeah and I had to do eighty percent of the work, the mere twenty you did was just having sex with the right people and getting drunk."

Cynthia shot Marcus a cold glare.
"We just have different expertise. Besides I deserve more than twenty percent of the credit when I'm the mastermind." She grinned like a little girl as she began to walk out of the large shed. "I can't wait to tell Thea that she'll be free from that curse soon enough."
