July 19, 2020. Sunday. Blake decided to call Rosie and have a quick chat. They were going to have a visit the beginning of August, and Blake needed to check on what time Rosie wanted to get in. Should she plan for breakfast or lunch? Was Rosie sure she was alright staying on the couch, or did they need to get her an air mattress? Blake was walking through a store at that point, thinking of things to purchase when it crossed her mind. She probably wouldn't get food yet, but she could find an air mattress if need be.

She selected a carton of almond milk as the phone rang. Or more accurately, it did not ring. It went straight to voicemail. That was rare. Okay... Blake sent Rosie a text message.

Chica, I need to ask you about your visit. Call me back rápida. I will call you again before I leave. <3

Blake rolled through the bread products and got some bagels. She had discovered that Zelda really liked bagel bites. Except not the trademarked kind. She liked little pieces of bagel torn up and dipped in peanut butter or cream cheese. Blake didn't like cream cheese, so that was certainly less on hand, but Kiefer ever ate some. She checked her phone. Nothing yet.

A faint frown. She looked down into the contents of her shopping cart. Zelda was currently asleep there. She could be such a sound sleeper, or she would wake up because you thought about making a sound. Today she was a sleeping angel. Also a rock. Blake finished gathering the spices she needed for their tacos that evening and pushed her cart down toward the checkout. Another call to Rosie. Her phone was still off. Strange.
