Chapter 17

After the four of us hung out for awhile Bentley started to get tired. I picked her up and was heading back leaving Tate and Holden. I'm happy she remembers her brother, I just hope she is okay with staying with me.

I put her in bed and head to my room to see my father sitting on my bed. "Where were you two?" He asks looking at me as I shut my door.

"Out." I answer. He stands up clearly not happy with the answer.

"Where?" He asks.

"Why do you need to know?" He growls at me, but I growl back.

"Maci stop being so frustrating. Where were you?"

"We went on a walk, and bumped into Holden." I say leaving out the whole Tate thing. He raises an eyebrow at me, and crosses his arms.

"Then why do I smell the Blue Moon pack on you?" He questions, and I curse under me breath. "That's what I thought, Maci you saw him." He concludes, and I roll my eyes.

"Dad you can't keep me from him. We are mates and you know how they are. He cares for Bentley and I, and we care for him." I say walking around him to my bed. "Yes he was there too, so what? He will protect us at any cost."

"Maci I can't lose you too. Lacey is leaving in a couple of days to go with her mate. I don't want you to leave either, and I don't really like him."

"Why don't you get to know him, invite him over for dinner." I say feeling a little happier.

"Have him over tomorrow night, Lacey can have her mate over, and we can meet Adam's mate." He says. I get up to hug him, and he hugs me back.

"Thank you." I say.

I was freaking out everyone was coming that my Dad wanted. My siblings and our mates. Our mother was thrilled and I told Tate, who was happy too.

"I don't know what to wear?" I say falling on my bed.

"Mommy wear this." Bentley says hopping off my bed and heads to my closet. I sit up and look at the outfit she has and smile.

"Thanks baby." I say getting up and walking to her. I take the outfit and kiss her cheek.

"Mommy can I come for the dinner?" I smile at her.

"Of course, you know Daddy is coming right?" She nods her head grinning widely.

"Can I sit next to him?!"

"If he says yes, now what are you going to wear?" I ask and she runs to her room and comes back in a green dress with a brown belt. "Perfect." I say and she smiles.

"Mommy you need to get ready, I'll ask grandma to do my hair."

"Okay, I'll be down soon. Behave." I say as she shuts the door. I turn and put my clothes on and put a necklace on too. I plug in the straightener and start my make up.

After I was done I rushed down stairs just as the door bell rang. I went to go get it, and open it to none other than Tate. He is wearing black jeans and a gray button down, with the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. His hair was all done nice, in other words he looks damn hot. He smiles at me and steps in as Bentley comes running and yelling.

"Daddy!" She yells excitedly as she runs into his arms. He picks her up smiling and kisses her head.

"Hi princess." I shut the door as my father enters the room. Tate moves Bentley so she is resting on his hip. "Hello Alpha Michael, and thank you for inviting me." Tate says extending his hand. My father takes it, and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Hello Tate, thank you for coming. I know we got off on the wrong foot, and I want to fix that. I'm sorry for that before. I just didn't want to have my youngest leave me too." He says as they release hands.

"I understand." Tate says.

"Daddy, can I sit next to you for dinner?" Bentley asks, and we all chuckle.

"Of course princess." He says with the biggest smile on his face. He puts her down and looks at me. "What I don't get a hug from my mate?" He asks smirking. I roll my eyes, but wrap my arms around him as he wraps his around me. I feel the warm comforting feeling along with tingles from his touch. The tingles run through out my body and I shiver in delight.

"I'll be in the kitchen with your mother." My father says walking out of the room.

"Daddy come on let's go play." Bentley begs tugging on his arm. I hear him sigh and look down at her.

"Princess I will later, but right now I have to go meet the family." She frowns at him as he releases me from the hug. I give her the 'you better behave' look, and she shrugs turning around.

"Sorry about that." I say looking at him. "She just doesn't have anyone to play with." I sigh, and Tate nods his head looking after her. "Alright time for you to meet, well officially as my mate, the family." I say, and he looks to me a little nervous.

I take his hand and lead him to the kitchen. Everyone is already there, that was invited, and looks our way. I know Tate is tensing up, especially because Axle stood up letting out a growl.

"There will be no fighting, you are all family now." My father says, but it's hard to tell Alphas to do something.

"Wait you're mates?" Axel asks in disbelief. I nod my head to answer his question.

"Yes we are." Tate says wrapping an arm around my waist. Everyone seems to be pleased that Adam and Lilly are mates. We chatted a little until my mother called us to the dining room for dinner. Bentley sits between Tate and I, Adam next to me. Lilly across from him with Lacey then her mate next to her. Father was at the end with Tate and Axle, with my mother across from him.

"So, I'm happy we can all be here together. Thank you all for coming, now let's dig in." My father says. We all do what he says, and before I can cut Bentley's food Tate does. I smile and eat my food.

After Bentley finishes she runs off to play. Now it is just us adults, and that kind of worries me. "So Tate you'll be taking over the Blue moon pack?" My mother asks.

"Yes." He answers.

"That's good. How are your parents?" I look to Tate as he seems surprised but makes eye contact with my mom.

"They are good. How have you been?"

"Good thank you." She says happily smiling.

"Tate is it true that you have a temper?" Axel asks, Tate snaps his head in Axel's direction. This could go bad...
