Chapter 26

Let's just say all hell broke loose as soon as the words left her mouth. Liam picked her up and ran, with us following. Somehow doctors were there waiting for us.

Liam is barking orders carrying Maya to a room. They shut the door in our face, but that is expected. The guys come running in with their mates, that have them, in toe. Then Tate's mother and father come in.

We were told we can't wait in the hall outside the door, and were forced to go to the waiting room.

"Well this is an eventful night." Tyler says.

"They probably don't realize even we are gone." Paul says. We all sit waiting for any news. Evelyn, Taylor, and I are all sitting in our mate's lap. Parker is pacing the room, and Tate's mother is just sitting on edge of a seat next to us.

Trent comes back from the restroom and takes his seat on the ground near my feet. "I hope it's a girl." I say leaning back on Tate's chest.

A doctor comes out after what seems like an eternity of waiting. "You can go see them now. It was a smooth delivery, and we have a new baby girl in the pack." He says. We all jump up excited by the news and hurry to the room.

We kind of barge in until we stop dead in our tracks at the moment in front of us. Maya all tired cradling a tiny infant in her arms crying, with tears of joy. Liam who seems teary eyed looking down at his little girl. He is sitting next to Maya with one arm around her, and the other covering Maya's hand, that is cupping the baby's head.

He glances up at us giving us the biggest grin I've ever seem him give. "Her name is Lacey." He says looking back at her. "Lacey Hope." He says, and the girls along with me all awe.

"Maci do you want to hold her? We want you to be the godmother." Maya says looking up at me with a smile. I smile widely too.

"Yes, I would love to." I say walking over to them. Maya places baby Lacey in my arms, and I look down at her in awe. I look up and see Tate watching me smiling.

"Isn't our niece adorable." Tate says coming to me and wrapping his arms around my waist. I kiss his cheek before turning my attention to the sleeping baby, in my arms.

"I want one." I sigh as Lacey starts to open her eyes.

"So do I." Tate whispers in my ear. I smile handing Lacey back, but to Liam this time. "Congratulations brother, but we need to get home." Tate says pulling me to the door. I look at him in confusion, but then the burning pain in my core starts.

Tate's head snaps to me, and his eyes darken with desire. "Wait till we get home." I whimper.

It's been four days of us being the Alpha and Luna of the pack. Everything has been going smoothly, so I know it is a matter of time before something bad happens.

I wake up alone, and frown getting up. Tate is always watching me as I wake up. I head to the bathroom for a shower and quickly hop in the warm water. After doing what I needed to I hop out quickly wrap myself in my towel.

I get to the closest and grab jeans and a sweatshirt. I throw them on and put my damp hair in a side braid. I hurry downstairs smelling pancakes. I get to the kitchen and only see Evelyn and Taylor. "Where are the guys?" I ask. They look at me giving me a small smile.

"There are some border problems." Taylor says. I freeze knowing just who is causing the problems. See here is the thing that goes wrong.

"Where's Bentley?" I ask trying to stay calm.

"Maci, breath she's fine. She stayed at Ryder's last night." Evelyn tells me.

There is a scream in the distance and I know it's Bentley. I run outside seeing Bentley run towards me screaming. Holden isn't far behind holding his arm. Bentley runs into my arms crying and Holden comes panting hard. "What's going on?" I ask.
