Chapter 22

I wake up the burning feeling gone. I have a smile on my face that won't come off as I remember what happened last night. We are fully mated and I couldn't be happier, but then I remembered what happened before.

I hop out of bed carefully to not wake up Tate. I put on a pair of shorts and I tee shirt before running downstairs. I head to the kitchen my stomach growling. "Good morning Maci." I hear, and I turn around to see Liam sitting at the table with a cup of coffee.

"Good morning." I say grabbing a bowl for cereal.

"Don't bother Tate should be getting up any minute. He usually makes breakfast." Liam says. I turn to him raising an eyebrow.

"Really, he cooks?" I ask surprised. Liam chuckles but nods his head.

"Who do you think made breakfast when you slept in?" I shrug my shoulders and take a seat across from him. "So, I'm guessing you two are fully mated." Liam says, and I feel myself blush a bright red. "You just smell more like him now."

"Oh." I say looking at the ground. Liam laughs at my uncomfortable state. We hear multiple footsteps coming down the stairs. We both look and see the guys who sit with us at the table.

"Good morning." They chime together.

"Morning." Liam says.

"Good morning guys." I say. They all seem to smell something and then look at me smirking.

"Someone had an eventful night." Paul says. I look away feeling myself blush more than before.

"Oh come on I'm pretty sure you did too." Tyler says, and Paul kicks him under the table. A few more footsteps are heard and we look to see two girls our age, but they clearly just woke up. One has brown hair lighter than mine as the other had blond hair.

"Good morning everyone, and good morning handsome." The brown haired girl says. She walks in and sits on Liam's lap. He wraps his arms around her smiling.

"Good morning beautiful." He says and kisses her cheek. She smells a lot like Liam too, so I'm guessing the are mates.

"Babe come here." Paul says smiling and patting his hand on his lap. She rolls her eyes, but walks over sitting on his lap. Her blond hair is in a messy bun and she just has shorts and a tee shirt on. He kisses her cheek, and she blushes.

"Oh, Maci this is my mate, Maya. Maya this is Tate's mate Maci." Liam says. The girl smiles at me and looks at Liam.

"Maci this is my mate Taylor." Paul says.

"That's why she smells like him." Maya turns and looks at me. "Well welcome to the family." She says smiling widely. Her brown hair is in a side braid that is messy from sleeping on it. She wears sweatpants and a tee shirt.

"Thanks." I say. "Does anyone know where Bentley is?" I ask looking around at everyone.

"She went to sleep over Ryder's house." Trent says. I look at him with wide eyes.

"Tate is not going to be happy about that." I say, and of course Tate comes down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"What won't I be happy with." He says wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek.

"Bentley is at Ryder's. She slept there last night." I say. Tate's grip tightens on me and he looks at everyone at the table.

"Who let that happen?" He questions his anger rising. Everyone whimpers slightly from his tone.

"Tate it's fine, and you know Bentley won't do anything. Neither will Ryder you scared him yesterday." I say looking up at Tate. He smirks and relaxes.

"Alright, so who's hungry?" Tate asks, and everyone answers saying they are.

"Mommy!" Bentley shouts running to me. I open my arms and she runs into them. I wrap my arms around her hugging her tight kissing her head. Her arms are around my waist and mine are around her shoulders.

"Oh, baby I missed you." I say.

"Mommy guess what. Ryder kissed me." She whispers. I chuckle and look over her shoulder to see Ryder and Holden watching us.

"He what!" I hear Tate shout. She runs and hugs Tate. She wraps her arms around his waist, and he wraps his arms around her shoulders. "What did Ryder do?" Tate asks loudly glaring at Ryder. Ryder takes off running away.

"Way to go daddy you scared him away." Bentley says annoyed.

"Hey I'm just doing my job." Tate chuckles. I roll my eyes at him.

"Don't worry Bentley your father just doesn't want anyone taking his little girl away. So where did he kiss you?" I ask her when Tate releases her.

"On the cheek. It was weird, but he said he thought I was cute. Then he kissed me." She squeals. Tate clears his throat, and Bentley looks at him confused.

"Let's not have that happen again."

"Tate, Alpha Axel and Alpha Adam are here to talk to you." Liam says. Tate nods his head and walks to his office, but stops turning to me.

"Maci come on. Bentley go hang out with Holden." Tate says. She nods her head and runs to her brother. I walk to Tate taking his hand before we head to his office.

We walk in his office and I am engulfed in a hug. "Maci I missed you. You smell different." Evelyn says stepping back to look at me. She then glares at Tate, and he just looks amused.

"Anyway, let's get this meeting started with." I say, and everyone nods. Tate sits in his office chair, and pulls me to sit on his lap. His arms wrap around me, and I just lean into his chest. "So why are we all here?" I ask looking at my brother, and my sister's mate.

"Well we were told about the rouges. We got a call late last night and were told what happened."

"Since your my sister we came to join the fight." Adam says.

"We aren't going to fight." I say.

"Maci it might come to that. We just want to be prepared." Tate says softly.

"Fine, but it will only be a back up plan in case we need to fight." I say shrugging. I look to Evelyn confused. "Why did you come?"

"I wanted to see my best friend." She says like it was obvious. "The guys wanted to come too, but we told them they couldn't come." She says.

"Of course they wanted to." I chuckle as the office doors burst open. Tyler stands there his eyes glued to Evelyn. The guys stood behind him with a worried expression. I look to Evelyn and see her tense in her spot. I look back to Tyler as my brother moves towards Evelyn to protect her.

"Mine!" Tyler growls, and everyone freezes where they are. My brother puts his arms up and steps back everyone watching Tyler.
