Prologue: Rimurus love drama

POV Rimuru

I was sitting in my office doing piles of paperwork once again. But one thing was different from normal. My two wives Ciel and Luminous Tempest were resting peacefully on my lap.

Their sleeping faces showed me how simple the world can be. But the road to making the two of them my wives was damn hard. A slight giggle escaped my mouth as I remembered it.

The great Temna War was just two years ago. It was another one of those boring days as I dutifully went about my work. I was just letting a few unimportant thoughts fly through my head. When suddenly there was a knock at the door.

"Lord Rimuru a demon king awaits your arrival at the front gates of Tempest." The voice of my samurai general Benimaru told me.

"Enter Benimaru." He came into my office with his firm gait and bowed to me.

"You know you don't have to bow, don't you?"

"You know that everyone in Tempest bows to them. To show respect to you."

"Never mind, stand up." He immediately listened to my command and stood up. "So which of the demon kings wants to see me?"

"Luminous Valentine, you can imagine why she wants to see you there?"

"Come Benimaru, you accompany me there."

"Understood Lord Rimuru."

We walked through the felt streets of Tempest. Through the last year, I could hardly think of my success in creating a peaceful world. That just made me quite proud. I hate my human side for that because humans always think bigger and don't stop to enjoy their success for a moment. Who do you think has already been ruined by thinking? Without noticing it directly, we have already arrived at the entrance gates of Tempest.

"Hey Luminous why are you here?" She didn't react immediately but marvelled at the streets of Tempest for a moment.

"I was bored and because you are the only demon king with whom one can communicate normally I decided to visit you."

Well, a cup of tea with Luminous can't hurt. On the one hand it takes my mind off things and on the other hand I enjoyed the time with her. Once she invited me to her Night Garden. After all, we chatted with each other until late at night. But I can't remember what happened between the end of the conversation and the next morning.

"Benimaru you can go, thank you for your company."

"You're welcome Lord Rimuru."

He stepped down without further words. After his disappearance, I turned my attention to the demon queen.

"Come with me I would like to show you something."

"Oh what do you want to show me?"

"Let me surprise you." I replied with a broad grin.

We walked through the streets while Luminous looked at the individual buildings more closely.

"Do you like it here?"

"Yes, now in the time of peace I can enjoy your city more." She said with a real smile on her face. This sight warmed my heart. But at the same time my insides ached with the thought of how I would feel if someone destroyed my city. I was supposed to take her to Veldora someday. To punish that damned dragon for it.

"I'm sorry Luminous for what you had to endure at the hands of Veldora." I didn't realise I was saying this inner monologue out loud.

"Thank you for your sympathy but if it wasn't for that damn lizard I wouldn't have met Chloe and Hinate and I wouldn't have met you." When she said my name she blushed slightly or is it my imagination?
