falling apart so soon

"why didn't you tell me you were coming?" jungkook asks as he pulls me out of the room.

"like you would have even seen it." i scoff, referencing to his lack of contact.

"i've seen your messages, min."

"i know." it was silent for a while. "why haven't you spoke to me? not even a good morning, goodnight, how are you, i'm alive... nothing." i finally blurt out. i still haven't fully looked at him. i hear him sigh.

"i've just been busy..." he quietly says.

"not busy enough to read my messages and ignore my calls."

"you're just not on my mind, min." he admits.

"ouch." the deafening silence returning once more. "i miss you..." i decide to say.

"i know."

"you know?" he nods. "that's it? no 'i miss you too'?" i raise my voice. jungkook sighs.

"what's taking so lo-" taehyung plops down the stairs and stops mid-sentence when he see's us, my anger evident on my face. "everything okay down here?" he asks.

"no." i respond. taehyung looks at me, then to jungkook.

"what's going on?" he asks.

"i'd like to know the same thing." i cross my arms and finally look up to jungkook. taehyung does the same.

"min..." jungkook looks at me with concern.

"no please, i'd prefer you to not beat around the bush. is there another girl?" i ask bluntly.

"what? no!" he instantly replies.

"then what's up?" i widen my eyes at him.

"taehyung... can you give us a minute?" jungkook motions for him to go back upstairs.

"no taehyung, stay." i demand, my loud voice causes the rest of the boys to peak out from the top of the stairs. "if you have something to say to me you can say it in front of your friends." jungkook squeezes his eyes shut and sighs.

"min, come on..." he pleads. at this point i've picked up on why he doesn't want the guys here. he doesn't want them to witness the sad, pathetic break up speech he wanted to deliver. i've been through it once, i wasn't about to do it twice.

"save the sappy speech, i get it." jungkook looks down at the ground. "i help get you in this band and this is how you repay me? i really thought you were different from jimin. turns out you just use me too." i snap.

"hey!" jimin yells from the stairs obviously trying to lighten the mood. namjoon slaps him on the head. jungkook's eyes fill with sorrow.

"min... i didn't want to hurt you." he says.

"no, but you did. and unlike jimin you don't get a second chance. and please, for the sake of the next girl that get's stuck with you, grow some fucking balls." i stomp through to the front door. "man up and tell the girl when you're done with her, instead of ignoring her for days." i say as i continue to the front door. "oh, and since you still haven't said it, i will. we are done, jungkook. lose my number and have the life you fucking deserve." i twist the doorknob and fling the door open. i turn to give him one last glare before walking out and slamming the door.

tears stream down my face as i look around the yard. i pick a direction and i just start running. where to? i don't know. not back to my apartment, not back to the school, not the old salon, just anywhere but here.

dark. it's dark and i can't see a thing. i can't even see the street signs until i get right next to them. i have no clue where i am, how to get back, or how to contact anyone. up until now, the fear hasn't hit me, i've been too sad over jungkook, and now i'm completely lost. i decide to turn around and attempt to head back the way i came. the last familiar thing i saw was probably ten minutes ago, meaning i can't be too far from it. but fear was now setting in, a girl walking alone in the dark at god knows what hour.

anxiety began to cloud my mind, every rustle of trees made me jump. i can't see further than five feet ahead of me, and that was freaking me out. every little sound i heard, making me wonder if it's a killer animal, or just the wind. i have an awful sensation of being watched, but i can't see anything that could be watching me. i start to walk faster and faster, causing my breath to shake even more than it already was. after about a minute of this, i stop dead in my tracks.

"minseo?" i hear someone call out in the distance. i can't make out the voice. i began to tip-toe up the sidewalk, trying to get closer to the voice, but not too close. "minseo?" it calls out again, louder this time. a deep voice.

"t-tae?" i gently call back. i hear footsteps walking in my direction.

"minseo!" taehyung responds. his footsteps get closer and closer to me until i finally see his fluffy brown hair, bouncing. "oh thank god, we've been looking for you for ages." he breathes out and pulls me into a hug. "are you okay? of course you're not okay, but psychically are you hurt?" he clarifies.

"no..." i say, my voice muffled in his chest.

"we were so worried you wouldn't answer your phone, and then moon told us you didn't have it, so we all ran out looking for you."

"who's we?" i ask, wondering if jungkook cared to look too.

"all of us... except jungkook..." he admits. i scoff. "he was worried, he just knew you wouldn't want to see him..." taehyung rubs my back. "anyway come on, my car is up the road." he pulls away from the hug and grabs my hand to take me to the car. i aimlessly follow him, feeling empty inside. as we reach his car he opens the door for me and i plop in. he does the same on his side and begins driving.

"where are we going?" i ask, not wanting to go back to jungkook's place.

"i was gonna stop by your place so you can get your phone, and then wherever you wanted to go. we can go yoongi's place, my place, or we can just drive around all night, whatever you want." he smiles.

"why can't i just go to sleep at my place?" i ask.

"i don't feel like you need to be left alone right now, you need company." he pats my thigh. i sigh.

"let's go to your place then... i just want to sleep." i say as i lean my head against the window.

"rodger that." he jokingly salutes causing me to giggle slightly.
