Helping 'Friends'

[(Y/N)'s POV]

Waking up with a throbbing headache and what felt like people touching me, I sat up with a gasp, giving myself head rush.

"(Y/N), don't move so suddenly! You'll hurt yourself more," said Izumo. She seemed concerned for once.

"Sorry, I just got a fright when I felt you guys touching me," I said. They were trying to change my dirty clothes for clean ones and I must have woken up in the process.

"W-We're sorry, (Y/N)! We didn't mean to make you uncomfortable! It's just Mr. Okumura asked us to change you so you'd feel better!" Shiemi blushed furiously.

"Don't worry about it, Shiemi. I really appreciate this, thank you," I bowed my head to her.

I took a minute to look at the damage done to my body. My legs had what I presumed to be deep gashes underneath the bandages that were wrapped around them. My arms were completely bruised and there was scrapes on my back. Just fantastic, a whole pile of scars.

I heard some rustling outside of the tent and then Bon came through.

"(Y/N), Mr. Okumura wants you to sleep in his tent so he can change your dressings every few hours because your wounds are really bad," Bon said, making me feel a bit sweaty. I could tell he wouldn't be comfortable with this.

"Um, sure, but I don't think I can stand," I trailed off, hoping to avoid any awkward situations.

"No worries, I'll carry you. Just like when we were little!" he laughed a bit and off we went to the Okumura tent.

"I'm sorry if this makes you feel awkward," I said sweetly. I knew he cared about me and I didn't want him to get any wrong ideas.

"It does but it's not your fault. Just stay away from Rin. I can tell he likes you," Bon said, looking in another direction.

I blushed furiously and tried to stutter out a response but nothing became audible.

"I know you like him too. Please, (Y/N), I trust you to be careful," Bon said, making my heart do a little dance. That was almost a blessing.

"Thanks, bro!" I said as he helped me into Yukio and Rin's tent.

I went to lie where I lay the previous night and I came to realise that Rin didn't seem to be in the tent. Where was he?

"Yukio, where's Rin?"

"He's went to brush his teeth and stuff, he'll be here in a minute," Yukio replied with a smile. I decided to wait up for Rin and thank him for helping me.

"Is (Y/N) here ye- (Y/N)! Oh my god!" Rin said quickly and dove in for a hug.

"Watch the wounds!" I joked.

"Sorry!" he replied with complete fear.

"I'm only joking. Thank you so much for earlier," I said and then with slight hesitation I pecked his cheek.

"No problem," he breathed out, touching where I had kissed him with a light twinge of pink.

We lay our heads down on the sleeping bags and pillows to rest. I had just began to doze when a cold shiver ran through me. I looked over at Yukio and he was snoring, sound asleep which looked pretty comical.

"Rin? You awake?" I whispered quietly.

"Yeah, why?" He whispered back.

"I'm really cold..." I trailed off, hoping he'd understand my hint.

"Do you want to cuddle?" he asked hesitantly.

"Yes please," I said and Rin shifted to face me.

"Let's spoon, (Y/N), it will keep you warm," he said cutely.

I turned around so my back was facing him and he put an arm under my hip and over my waist making me feel all warm and fuzzy.

"Night, Rin."

"Sweet dreams, (Y/N)."
