The next day when I woke up, I wasn't surprised to find myself in Rin's bed wearing slightly less clothing than anticipated. I stretched, got up and put his shirt on, then made my way picking up all my items that I had left lying about his room.

"Ughhh...(Y/N), why do you have to always get up so early?" Rin groaned.

"Wake up. It's 12 already."

"I can't believe you're being cold after what we did last night."

Ok, that did send me into a blushing frenzy.

"Whatever, come on get up and start the day!"

"Stop being so god damn cheery."

Rin and I spent most of that weekend together and then the next few days. Days turned into months and sooner than we knew, it was approaching Christmas time.

"I really love Christmas, don't you, (Y/N)?" Shiemi asked as we were having a break in exorcist class.

"I suppose so. It's a lovely season. I just seem to get ill during a lot."

"Yeah, me too. Although, I get ill anyways," she giggled.

"Okay, class. Back to your own seats, this lesson we'll be talking about possession and being possessed by a demon, essentially."

Yep, this was a lesson I was looking forward to. Rin was of course sleeping at the front so I obviously wasn't setting a good example to him but whatever, he'll copy my notes later. I eagerly listened to Yukio talking about how demons find their way into your soul by many different factors. It was quite informative and made us all a little more self-aware. (Well, apart from Rin).

The lesson ended pretty quickly because all I had been doing was taking notes. It was a Tuesday afternoon and I really wanted to go Christmas shopping.

"Hey, (Y/N), wanna come over later?" Rin asked me, still slightly tired from his nap.

"I would but I'm going Christmas shopping. I'll be sure to get you a good present for your birthday as well," I smiled and walked off to get my purse from my dorm room.

I found myself out shopping for a very long time. It wasn't even as though I were fond of the hobby, I just had a lot of people to buy for. Luckily, I had been saving up some cash from one off jobs here and there.

I had gotten everyone at least one thing and that was enough to satisfy me. I checked my watch and realised that it was verging on 10pm. If I were to stay out any later, that's when the drunk people from pubs would come out or people of the sort. I made my way back to school until I suddenly heard some crackling in the leaves.

'Must just be a cat,' I brushed off. Oh, how wrong was I.

"(Y/N)...

...(Y/N)...

...(Y/N)"

"Who's there?" I said, trying my best to sound uninterested. It was probably Shima or Bon playing a prank or something.

Silence.

I continued walking, not really thinking anything of my encounter and plugged both of my earphones in to try and block out the noise of people filing out from part time underpaid jobs.

I felt a somewhat eerie presence loom over me whilst I was walking. The fact that I was sure my name had been whispered and considering it was so dark, I began to internally freak out.

"I'll call Rin, that always calms me down," I thought to myself as I brought the phone out, only to realise it was out of charge. Well, shit.

I picked up the pace but I couldn't shrug off the uneasiness. It felt like someone was just messing with my head to make me do something.

"I know little Rin's secret. I can take him away," a voice whispered.

"Who the fuck was that?!" I shouted, this time a lot more alert.

"Don't worry, we'll be seeing each other very soon, my dear," the creepy voice had somewhat of a smile to it.

"W-what?"

"Don't tell your precious Rin about our encounter. Fate will be sealed as soon as possible. Now run."

And I did exactly that.

[A/N: hi! I'm sorry this chapter was so short, just setting you guys up for the next sort of 'arc' if you will. I realise I haven't really updated you guys on my exam situation. I got a C for English (which is strange considering how much I write), B for History and Music and an A for Maths so yay! I didn't fail everything. My Biology paper is being appealed because apparently the teacher thought I didn't get the mark I deserved so that was pretty comforting. I'm super comfortable with how everything in my life is kinda planned out at the moment. I'm just in a good state of mind, despite being tired a lot. I dunno, I just feel it isn't good to write when you're down/uninspired because that would surely reflect in your work. Idk, sorry this A/N is so long. I'll see you guys very soon!
