Chapter 75: "Cause"

Funtime Freddy's P.O.V

I entered the Shadow Dimension and quickly had to block an attack from Ennard, as I noticed Nightmare and Golden Freddy appear in the dimension with us as well. However there was no sign of Foxy anywhere, which meant what had happened to her. Suddenly Ennard disappeared, as well as Nightmare and Golden Freddy, which I did the same and returned to the normal world. As soon as I appeared in the normal dimension I had to turn on my night-vision since the lights were out and looked around. I noticed Foxy on the ground, as well Ennard who was about to strike her. Right as I was about to react to defend her RXQ appeared behind Ennard and managed to strike him on the back of the head. Ennard stumbled and fell off of the EMP before RXQ jumped in the air and got ready to stab him with his daggers. Ennard jumped up and back to avoid the attack as he stared at RXQ now. "At last you show your true colors," Ennard said with a smile. "Enjoy the peace while it lasts." He disappeared, as well Golden Freddy, though Nightmare was still here and stared at RXQ and I. Not saying a word at all. "If you have something to say, may as well get it out of the way. After all we'll probably meet each other again soon as enemies," spoke RXQ. "Nothing needs to be said about your actions. Though what I will say is I hope you made the best choice for yourself. You better know what kind of nightmare you have entered," said Nightmare finally. "I made my choice long ago. I never was on William's side or his cause," responded RXQ. "Then perhaps some of us have left to decide what side we're on," responded Nightmare. Everyone else appeared in the room at once and noticed Nightmare and RXQ, as they all got ready to attack. Everyone except Michael. "Stand down! It's alright," I said stopping them as I turned to look back at Nightmare. "You could've retreated along with your comrades, and yet you stayed here. Who's side are you on?" I asked. "That depends. Some are on the winning side, others on the losing side. Then there's my side and my cause," responded Nightmare. "Then you doubt William's plan. You know there are other options for this conflict, one that involves joining our cause," I said. "The only cause that concerns me is of that pertains to the survival of the nightmare and construct of fear. Your cause involves the idea of preserving free will and a technologic future. Do not confuse those two ideas with one another," responded Nightmare as he turned around and walked away from us. "Yet two ideas can exist. Become one. Something stronger. That can ensure your idea of the nightmare will be preserved, can it not?" said Mangle now. Nightmare stopped and turned his head towards her, then looked away and walked down the main area and towards the main hall. "You know we could've taken him out right there. Would've been one less problem," said Helpy. "I don't think he's on William's side, not anymore. Though I'm so sure he's on our side either. Perhaps just his own," I responded. "So John. The façade is up, I guess," said Michael walking over to him. "It is. If you still think I deserve to have that name," spoke John. "So it's true then. You're on our side," said Mangle turning to look at him. "I am," he responded. "All the endo-skeletons and other minions are deactivated... Foxy got hit with the EMP as well," said Duality. I turned to find her on the ground near the EMP, deactivated as he stated while Helpy walked over to us. "Luckily I can reboot her, though it'll probably take a couple minutes," said Helpy. "We might not have a couple minutes," said Mangle. "We'll just have to go with it. We can't leave her behind if we have the chance to bring her back online," I responded as Helpy moved Foxy over and opened the back of her head. "I'll let all of you know if William sends reinforcements for a counterattack. I have also detected the location of the generator which is on the other side of the pizzeria, as well as another power source that seems to be originating from under the pizzeria. Which, from my calculations, is where that entrance leads underground to the place all of you found from your first arrival here," spoke Duality. "Me, Bonnie, and Charlie should take care of the first generator while we got the time, then head back here to find that other power source. We have to ensure the pizzeria does not restore power or anything William is using for his plan," suggested Mangle. "Good point. The rest of us will stay here and wait until we get Foxy back online," I responded. "Alright, let's get that generator destroyed," said Mangle as she, Bonnie, and Charlie walked past us to where the hallway was. "Fuck this is what an EMP does," said Helpy aloud. "Is it anything bad?" I asked. "From what it did to her kinda. It deactivated her systems, but thankfully it didn't short or fry them. Thank god William made her with some high quality parts. I can bring her back online by charging her up from another power source," said Helpy getting up now. "I'm sorry this had to happen to her. Perhaps I should've helped her sooner and been the one to stop Ennard from deactivating the EMP," said John. "You did what you could," spoke Michael. "Still takes some trust to know you're on our side, not just words and promises," said Helpy as he opened up his back. "You have every right to not trust me, especially after what I did to Frank. All I want is to be able to become human again, and perhaps join your cause on stopping William," said Frank. "Perhaps? So you just care about becoming human again? Which you don't know is even possible or a guarantee," said Helpy. "If he wants to focus on his goal its not our place to force him to join our cause," said Michael defending him. "He's right Helpy. He has his own path to follow. Still, Michael told us about your encounter with you at the graveyard," I said. "I asked you to not inform them of that," said John looking at Michael. "I had to. Besides, by that point we found a bug planted in Freddy, so there was no way my father found out about your allegiance and what happened yesterday," responded Michael. "Well, William didn't seem to suspect a thing or else I wouldn't here. Ennard, though. He's smarter than I give him credit for," responded Frank. "Well, as long you have nothing against our cause or aren't an enemy, guess I don't have a problem. We all have our own causes we fight for," spoke Helpy having a red jumper wire and a black jumper wire. He opened Foxy's chest before connecting both wires to the chest, before making sure they were connected. "Freddy come over here," he asked. I walked on over to where he was, as he walked on over to me now while holding the jumper wire. "I'm gonna use you as a power source to bring Foxy back online. I'll have to reset you in order to ensure power is jumped into Foxy's systems," said Helpy as he opened my chest. "If it helps her I'll gladly oblige," I responded as he placed both jumper cables inside my chest. "Kneel down. I'll have to open the back of your head to reset you," said Helpy. I did as he asked as he walked on over to me and opened the back side of my head. "Alright, I'm going to reset your systems. You ready?" said Helpy. "I am," I responded. "Alright, I'm resetting you now," stated Helpy. Before I knew it I felt him press the reset button, before I reactivated a second later. I turned to see Foxy now reactivated, as she looked around confused. "Freddy?" she asked. "Glad to have you back," I said as Helpy closed the back of my head. "All her systems are functioning properly again," noted Duality. "Seems that way. I suggest not doing that again," said Helpy as he disconnected the wires in my chest, which he then closed. "Don't worry. I don't intend to. Still, I did what I did to help the team," said Foxy. "Well, that was noble of you. I'm proud of you," I said with a smile. "We're just glad to have you back," said Michael with a smile. "So RXQ is on our side," said Foxy noticing him standing next to Michael. "She took that rather... well," said John surprised. "Guess that part of me is rubbing off on her. Plus she, as well as the rest of us, knew you were against William," I responded. We all suddenly turned to the sound of an explosion from down the hallway, which was probably the generator getting destroyed by Mangle and the others. "About time. Guess we'll soon be ready to continue our mission," said Helpy disconnecting the wires from her chest and closing it as well. "John do you have any information that could be of any benefit to us? An idea where my father might be or where his army is? Possibly Scott Cawthon?" Michael asked John. "I doubt your father is in the pizzeria or is office. Wouldn't make sense for him to stay here with all the fighting. He's possibly finalizing his plans, though I have no idea where that might be. He never told me or any of his minions like Elizabeth or Ennard. As for Scott if you want to find him you'll have to find the source where he's operating at, which I have no idea where he is either. Now that I think about it your father kept everyone in the dark about his plans and how it would work," said John. "The generator is destroyed," spoke Mangle, who walked around the corner of the hallways with Charlie and Bonnie at her side. "Foxy is functioning again. I think its time we head down to where that power source is," I said. "It could also be where Scott is, or even William. We just have to be careful, we took out a lot of his troops but it's obvious he has more," spoke John with caution. "Alright then. Let's get moving," I spoke. The sooner we find that power source, the closer we'll be to stopping William and his plans."
