Chapter 42

Night 1 with Cali

"She needs a bath lou." 

"We dont have a baby bath tub harry!" I look around the living room bouncing Cali in my arms. 

"I've got an idea." I go into the kitchen with Louis following me. I turn the water on in the sink to luke warm. 

"The sink?" 

"Yea its just the right size innit? and the little spray thing here will be handy." I get cali ready for the water. Sitting her down gently in the sink of water she starts smiling. Its the first time shes smiled since getting her earlier this morning. 

"Look how cute! She loves it." Louis squeeks out. He puts his hand in the water making little splash's. I look at him and think Ive just seen the sun looking at a beautiful sun flower. His smile is beyond bright and loving. Seeing what I see in front of me could make my heart explode. 

"Her smile is heart warming innit?" I whisper softly." Louis nods his head rubbing Calis head. We both get her cleaned up. Louis runs and gets a towel from the bathroom and a diaper from the diaper bag. I take her to the couch and lay her down. 

"Does she have any lotion in there?" I nod towards the diaper bag. Louis dumps everything out. Only seeing Diapers, wipes, her milk,two onesies and one little toy.

"Looks like we will be going out to grab you a few things tomorrow little sweetie." I say in a baby voice putting her diaper on her then pulling her onesie over her head onto her body. I clip the buttons and pick her back up.

"I thought you didnt like kids?" Louis says in a mocking tone.

"I dont but theres something about this little girl Lou, Shes so pure and has been through so much as little as she is." I look at him with a half grin. 

"Im going to go get her a bottle made then we can go up to the room and get settled down for the night."

"Yea alright. We will go on up and wait on you." I say going up to the bedroom. I get in the bed with Cali craddled in my arm. I lay with her waiting on Louis to come up with her bottle.

"Here you go loves." He reaches the warm bottle to me and I start feeding her. 

"Im nervous about sleeping with her." Louis says crawling in the bed.

"Why?"

"Cause some babys get suffocated when they sleep with people." I smile at him looking back down at Cali.

"I think shell be ok. Im not a heavy sleeper and I dont move around alot, you know that." When shes finished with her bottle I lean her up patting her back a few times until she burps. Laying her back down she cuddles into my side with a light sigh. I wrap my big arm around her holding her close. Louis is cuddled up to mags falling asleep.
