Love fades but not for you

"You two have a very nice home, very much perfect to raise a child in." Amy says and Cindy nods agreeing with her.

"So that means everything has past the inspection?" Louis asks before I can get my words out.

"It does. We will have to put everything into the system and file everything from today and get the adoption in process. As soon as we get a court date we will call you right away." We follow the women to the door and walk them out. 

"Thank you, thank you so much for doing this today and not waiting." I tell her even shocking myself. I hardly ever thank anyone, especially if I dont know them. 

"No thank you two for already putting up a fight for this beautiful little bundle of love." Cindy says getting in the car with Amy. We watch them leave and we go back inside. I let out a long heavy sigh of relief.

"I dont think Ive ever been that nervous in my whole life." I set down beside Louis and Cali on the couch. I reach out for Cali and Louis hands her to me.

"Hi my precious joy." I softly say bouncing her on my knee.

"I cant believe were really doing this! Its like a dream." Louis says holding his face looking between me and Cali. I smile at him and pull him into me with one arm.

"A dream that I think we have both wanted, even though Ive never thought about this...type of dream but that changed after saving her and then seeing you with her, its uh, its changed my mind alot. I want this and I want it with you." He looks up at me with glowing eyes. 

"Only with you Lou." I kiss his lips softly and Cali start gibberish making me pull away from Louis soft blissful lips. 

"Youre not being left out little one chill out, You get attention to." Louis pinches Calis cheeks gently.

A week has gone by since we signed the adoption papers and got everything set for the adoption. Ive called Im pretty sure everyday asking if theyve heard anything. Ive probably annoyed the hell out of them but I cant help it. I need to know if we have a good chance of keeping Cali. She has became so much more to us than some baby we saved. Its only been a week with her and she has me wrapped around her tiny little finger. Louis just as wrapped around her finger as much as me. Were both over the moon about her. I couldnt see her leaving us and if this adoption falls though its not going to be good. They could take her out of the home at any giving time they wanted to. I dont want that. I want her to be ours and not have to worry about when theyll be coming to take her or having to run what we do with her by them.

Louis has been waking up the most through the nights to give her a bottle and change her. I try to tell him Ill do it but he insists on being the one to wake up throughout the nights. He saysi  do more for her through the day than he does. I dont think thats true or maybe I dont pay attention. I do know its like shes always in my arms, from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed. She falls asleep cradled in my arm or snuggled under my arm pit with Louis and mags curled into my back.
