—SUMMARY — You've been away from Xiao for a year, only to come back to him with a new dish you learnt to cook from your nation.

You and Xiao were both really, really good friends — despite being away from him most of the time, not a day goes by that you don't think of him. He's certainly picky when in comes to mortal food, so it's hard to feed him various types of dishes.
He would usually prefer you to cook his almond tofu, and never accept the other offers by mortal beings. But since you were away, he stated he was forced to eat it. Nevertheless, he still likes the dish.
Right now, you were sitting in front of an amused Xiao, waiting for your dish to finish being cooked — he looked like a kid that was about to be fed his favourite dish at this, and it made you chuckle to yourself.
"Here it is!" You excitedly state, eyes sparkling in awe as you put it on a small plate, ready to serve it to the Yaksha. "Hm," Xiao hums in perplexity, taking the plate from your hand as gentle as possible.
"This smells... good." He tries to hide his excitement as he gripped on the stick, bringing the dish to the level of his mouth. You watched, smiling at him the whole time — you didn't care how much he would like it or hate it, you just thought of how his side profile looked like.
He appeared to be clear faced, his face looked perfect especially with the lighting the room wielded.
"Erm- so, how's it like?" You inquire, breaking the peaceful silence filled with him munching on the dish. "It's.. it tastes decent." He answers shortly, looking away in attempts to hide his red tinted face.
"Oh does it? Thank youu!" Out of instinct, you cling onto him, hugging him tightly — getting a slightly better view of him from that position.
His blush just furiously grew.
"(Y/n)—"
"Shh, let me stay like this."
