A boy let out a whistle as I walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I was wearing a bikini top, and a pair of jean shorts. Paul just nudged Embry, telling him to shut up.
Embry has now shifted, which meant he had to stop talking to Jacob, which means I had to avoid him as well.
I didn't know if I was a good secret keeper.
"You nervous?" Paul asked and I just shook my head.
"No, where's your boyfriend? Did he get scared?" I asked playfully and the boy scoffed walking into the house with Sam.
"Funny Mal, was that your first joke?" Jared asked and I just rolled my eyes.
"I wouldn't waste it on you." I playfully argued back with the boy before walking out the back door to wait for them outside.
I didn't mind Sam's beta's as much as I thought I would.
Sam just smiled at the interaction. He honestly felt that Malia moving here was the best thing for her. She completely came out of her shell these last couple months.
He was so proud, and he honestly hoped the Cullen's would never come back, he didn't want go have to share her.
"What are you following me?" I asked turning around to see it was Paul that had followed me outside.
"What's it gonna take to get you to like me?" He asked and I just stared at him stunned at his bluntness.
"I get it your this cool girl who has the blue eyes and the sick claws, but-" He went to say but I cut him off.
"It's not that." I said eyeing him. It was something about the way he saw me, that changed my opinion of him.
Before I could say anything else the others piled out of the house and over to Sam's truck.
Embry and Jared jumped in the bed of the truck leaving Paul and I to awkwardly ride with Sam.
When we road up to the cliff the boys jumped out of the back and once Sam put the truck in park, the three of us jumped out.
Sam jogged over and he and Jared started to mess with Embry since this would be his first time making the big jump.
"For the record it's not that I don't like you." I started off as Paul and I walked towards them.
"You don't trust me." He said understandingly and I shrugged.
"Look, I get it, but for what it's worth I trust you." He said and I smiled.
"Why?"
"Call it a gut feeling, blame it on the pack, whatever, but I know at the end of the day if any of us needed you you'd come." He said before running over to the guys helping them throw Embry in.
I was kinda just stunned.
"You coming, loca?" Jared asked and I just nodded walking forward.

On the other side of the cliff, on the road was Bella and Jacob riding bikes.
"That's Sam Uley right?" Bella asked Jacob who scoffed.
"Him and his cult. I thought she wasn't with them." Jacob said bitterly, noticing how close the girl stood to the Lahote boy, who was known to have a very bad temper.
"Oh my god stop them!" Bella yelled as Sam and Jared threw Embry over.
"They're not really fighting, Bella. They're cliff diving." Jacob said laughing at her.
"What, on purpose?" She asked surprised, now was Malia and Sam jumped with another boy.
"That's the one she kissed isn't it?" Bella asked and Jacob nodded.
"He's got a bad temper, got thrown out of school for it. If you were a good friend you'd make sure she knew to stay away from him." Jacob explained as Bella just stared off intrigued.
