I didn't tell anyone what happened in Italy. I just wanted to pretend that Peter didn't exist and that meeting him was just a bad dream.

Edward though had access to my thoughts. He knew exactly what happened and exactly how I felt about it which is why I didn't mind that Sam had decided to punish me for leaving the country without permission.

I wish he would've grounded me before I had to go vote for Bella to be a vampire. I didn't want her to turn. I didn't know if it was the wolf in me or what, but either way I voted in her favor.

"Earth to Malia." I heard a voice say as a hand waved in front of my face. I looked over to see an entire table of people staring at me.

"Sorry." I said before glancing down at my food. I knew Edward had been taking in all my thoughts.

"I just asked if you had any plans after graduation," Jessica said and I just looked over at Edward for an answer.

"Didn't Emily say she'd help you sign up for some college courses over at the Rez." Edward said and I nodded. Emily did offer to do that, I just didn't think they'd want me to stick around that long.

"Great more homework." I said and everyone just shared a smile.

"How much longer does Sam have you on lockdown?" Mike asked and I shrugged. The truth was his so-called punishment only lasted the weekend.

"I'll ask him tonight," I said and Alice perked up.

"You wouldn't want to miss the graduation party we are throwing." She said with a chipper smile.

"A party? At your house?" Anglea asked surprised.

"I've never seen your house." Jessica added.

"I hate parties last time-" I went to say, but Edward stopped me knowing where my thoughts were at.

"It'll be fun. You can invite your friends from the Rez." She said and I nodded.

"And Jacob?" I asked noticing Bella and Mike visibly tensed. I could smell the sadness coming off of her. It had completely slipped my mind the way he acted towards Mike at the movies, and that he had been avoiding Bella like the plauge.

"Anyone you'd like as long as you come." Alice said and I smiled.

"That's cool. What time?" Mike asked as Alice zoned out. She must have been getting one of those visions.

"Dress code?" Mike asked, but was only met with silence.

"My friends only wear jorts." I said and Edward chuckled.

"The boys from the movies? That one who helped Bella was delicious." Jessica said and I couldn't help, but glare. It had to of been a wolf thing because I couldn't help, but feel territorial.

"Is he the one from the movies?" Mike asked and I nodded.

"Wow, Mal gives double dating a whole new meaning," Jessica said with snarkiness.

"You've been quiet ever since Italy." Edward said as we walked me to my car. It was gifted to me from him when they had came home.

"I don't want to talk about him."

"I know, but if you ever do I am here." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"For how long?" I mumbled under my breath.

"You have every right to be angry with me for leaving." He said and I shook my head.

"I'm not, I just-" I went to say but he cut me off.

"I can tell you are unhappy. What I don't know is why? Is it because of Peter, or Mike, or Paul?" He asked and my eyes just went wide, like a deer in headlights.

"Why would you think my thoughts have anything to do with him?" I asked.

"Malia, I can hear your thoughts."

"I don't think about him."

"I won't push you Malia. I just want you to know that if you ever decided you wanted to think about him, just know I wouldn't look at you any differently." He said and I just nodded as I opened my car door.

"You said it yourself he's good for me. I need good. I have to get to Sam's, I'm still grounded." I said and he nodded.

"Malia, wait!" Mike yelled as he left his group of friends and jogged over. Edward just gave me a nod and walked off towards where Bella waited for him.

"I know your grounded, but I was thinking maybe since Sam won't let you leave the Rez, I could come to you. We can look up at the stars, you know romance." He said with a small chuckle.

"Meet me at seven, at the park that's down the way from Sam's." I said and he pecked my lips and smiled.

I walked through the door and hung up my sweater, before taking a seat at the table.

"Homework?" Emily asked and I shook my head no.

"Mike wants to do something tonight." I said and she looked at my confused.

"We never said you were grounded from Mike, just Bella." Emily said and I nodded.

"I know it's just different now. I don't know why." I said and she just smiled.

"When I was a teenager I had this boyfriend named Henry. I thought he was it for me, but obviously he wasn't because I was destined for Sam."

"Do you think imprinting is something that could happen to me?" I asked and she smiled.

"I don't know much about all the technicalities of what you are, but I do know I never thought it could happen to me, but it did. You never know what the future holds." She said and I nodded.

"Thank you, Emily."

"Oh speaking of boy problems." Emily said just as Paul and Jared invited themselves in through the back door.

"How was school?" Paul asked and I shrugged.

"I just want it to be over already." I said and Emily laughed.

"Soon! Then we can sign you up for some college classes." Emily said excitedly.

"Do you have plans for tonight? Jared and I were thinking of going to La push." Paul asked and Emily coughed awkwardly.

"I have plans with Mike. We're gonna look at the stars over at the park." I said honestly.

"That sounds-" Paul went to say something out of jealousy, but Jared cut him off.

"Romantic, that sounds really romantic Mal. Have fun." He said as he pulled Paul out of the house.

"That was awkward, wasn't it?" Emily asked and I just shrugged.
