Karl and I are the last two, one shoe left to throw and I'm waiting to throw it until Ava or Jimmy is near our spot. I finally see one of their flashlights they decided to use since it's gotten dark out so I drop the last remaining shoe. The flashlight immediately goes up towards my face and I wave with a grin on my face.
"Jimmy! I found one!" Ava yells into the empty building
"I'm coming" Jimmy replies before standing next to Ava and looking up.
"How did you get up there?" Jimmy asks in confusion
I smirk, "not telling you"
"Well you have to get down somehow" Ava reasons
"I do but you also need to find Karl" I raise an eyebrow
"Karl, you won" Jimmy says into his walkie talkie and Karl pumps his fists
"haha suckers!" Karl yells from behind me
"two for one! amazing" Ava grins happily
Tareq's camera angles up to my face and now Karl's as we look down to the three. The two of us get down to the floor with Jimmy, Ava and Tareq after climbing down from our hiding spot.
"I have one question, how the heck did you two get up there" Chandler asks
"I have my ways, Chandler" I smirk devilishly
"Ways of being a trampoline park employee during college" Karl adds
"Alright! So thank you to Dani and Claire for coming here to play with us! Dani, congrats on winning ten thousand dollars and some Beast merch that Ava, Chandler and I decided to give you because you flew all the way out here. Claire, you made Karl's day so we thank you a bunch" Jimmy says towards the camera but looks at Dani and I when he says our names
"Also, thank you C for breaking my second place curse" Karl thanks me and hugs me tightly
"I wouldn't try to win if mr. second place curse was here" I joke "but, you're welcome K"
I hug my gamer friend back as Jimmy ends his video.
"Can we like hang out for a while?" I hear Karl whisper as his head is on my shoulder
"Uh, duh" i chuckle and squeeze Karl's side to make him squeal like a child
"I hate when you do that" he pouts and pulls out of our hug
"No, come back" i whine and put my arms out like a child
He goes back into my arms and picks me up slightly so I wrap my legs around his hips. We stay like this until we decide to leave to his house where his brother is waiting for him to be home. The walk to the car was us talking about our lives since he left their hometown. Karl opens my door for me and i thank him quietly before sitting on the seat, he goes to the driver side and gets in. I connect my phone to his car and play a playlist we made years ago together.
The first song that comes on was Love Story by Taylor Swift, it's one of the many songs we used to dance around to when we were at one of our houses alone. We both sing long as Karl drives, him being more in the lyrics than me.
We get to Karl's house after a few songs so we get out. Walking in, we hear an anime playing on the television and Karl immediately goes towards the sound.
"Sean" Karl sings loudly
"Karl" Sean replies bluntly
"Remember Claire?" Karl asks
"You mean the girl you have a crush on?" Sean replies
"Shut up!" Karl groans "Claire as in the girl from high school and our childhood"
"Yes i do dummy" Sean says then i step behind Karl to jump on his back
"Hi sean!" i say and he looks at me like im a hologram
"H-hi Claire" he stutters before Karl starts walking towards the kitchen with me on his back
He stops at the counter and slides me back so that im sitting on it before going to the fridge and pulling out a monster.
"Do you still like white monsters?" he asks
"I was the one who got you onto it, so duh" i grin
He smiles largely and grabs two from the fridge and hands them to me before getting me back onto his back, heading to his room this time. He drops me onto his bed carefully then sits at his desk to turn it all on.
"You want to stream? I can get an among us lobby up really quick if you want to play among us" he suggests
"We can stream if you want, if you want to play among us, ill watch you but i can be a mean imposter" i grin
He nods as his desktop opens, i get up and put the two monsters on his desk. His phone dings with multiple messages as im next to him.
"Corpse, Rae, Dream, Sap, Toast, Sykkuno, Mykie, Tina and Leslie are down to play so you ready to play among us and meet my stream?" he questions as i sit on the ground and against his desk
"Of course, nerd" i tease and i watch him focus on opening whatever so he can stream.
As the windows load, he opens his phone again before putting it down. After a moment Sean walks in with his chair.
"Here you go Claire, enjoy streaming big bro" Sean says and leaves the room.
I sit down in the chair and watch as Karl opens discord and enters a vc. He turns on his camera as most of them have theirs on as well and he unmutes as well, saying a loud hi.
"Karl, who's sitting next to you?" a deep voice asks
"Oh right, everyone, this is my best friend Claire" Karl introduces
