Chapter 3: Slow Healing

It was finally the end of the day. Suffering yet another day of school. Alec decided to leave without anyone really knowing, but Gold was understandable about it. So she just let him. Alec threw his stuff in his car and left. He didn't really say much today, he must've still been p****d about earlier.

He later arrived at his dorm, but he got a sudden sight of Aly and his mom waiting at the door. He looked confused before pulling into his driveway. He turned off his car, grabbing his stuff and getting out.

Alec: Can i- Help you?

Alec's mom: Alec! Hey, we've haven't heard from you since. So, we came to visit you but you weren't home.

Alec: Sorry, i've been busy lately and i was in school.

Alec walks between them and unlocks his door, inviting them in.

Alec's mom: Don't worry about it, just wanted to make sure your okay since you haven't been returning my messages.

Alec: Yeah, i'm fine.

Aly: How was school?

Alec: It was fine then i hated it.

Aly: Really? Why? I thought you were excited?

Alec: Well- First, i was excited till Funneh died. I wanted to go with her. Then- Second, some b***hes decided to talk trash about Funneh while she was dead so they can be with me.

Aly: What the fu-

Alec's mom: Did you do something about it?

Alec: Yes, i stopped a almost catfight with Gold and that girl. Then i stepped up, blocking Gold and saying s**t back.

Aly: As you should.

Alec's mom: You kinda sounded like you stopped a almost catfight before, haha-

Alec: Because I have.

Alec's mom and Aly both looked at eachother then back.

Aly: You have?

Alec: Yeah, during the beginning of Junior year. Me, Funneh and Gold were going to this new Ice cream shop in town. When we entered, this girl straight up was flirting with me the second I entered. Btw, this was before me and Funneh started dating. This girl was literally being such a b***h to Funneh. She was getting furious, the second they started cussing at eachother. I can see Funneh curling her fist. So- I stepped in.

Aly: D*mn- Your lucky you didn't get punch by accident. Haha.

Alec: Yeah, but because- Funneh and Gold share the same thing...They can hold urges. Now- I've never seen someone do that before. But, the second I stepped in front of them...They relaxed.

Aly: Wow. That's cool. I would just straight up punch the girl.

Alec: Yeah- I know you would, that's why I wouldn't stop a fight that your involved in.

Aly: Wow, so kind.

Alec: What? You always get into mischief.

Aly: Nu-uh!

Alec: What ever you say.

Alec puts both his arms up, backing up.

Alec's mom: Well, it was great seeing you again son. Next time- Answer me or I'm showing up at your dorm with the police.

Alec: Chill- I'll answer you next time.

Alec's mom: Great! Now- I have work to attend back to. So, I sha'll be on my way then.

Aly: Guess I'll leave too.

Alec: Alright, great seeing you both. Bye!

Alec's mom: Bye! Love you! Get well rest and eat healthy!

Alec: Love you too! Oh and- No promises!

Alec's mom: Hey!

Alec's mom shuts the door on her way out, while walking backwards staring at Alec.

Alec sighs after hearing them both leave.

He leaves to his kitchen and put both arms up and leans against his counter.

Alec groans.

*With Gold*

Gold: Hey, Kyran...

Kyran looks over at Gold who is in the kitchen, looking out the window.

Kyran: What's up? You sound sad.

Gold: ...Do you think Alec will ever heal from this? It's been 2 year's since Funneh's passing..and..he refuses to let go..

Kyran sigh's before heading towards Gold and pulling her into a hug.

Kyran: I understand you want to protect Alec because you couldn't protect Funneh...But- Dear..You know none of this is your fault?? I think you forgot the parts on how happy he is around us. He just..may feel alone at the moment. But trust me when I say this. He will heal from this damage. Just give him more time..

Gold looks up at Kyran and gently smiles.

Gold: I guess your right..

Kyran: I know I'm right. Alec is tough. He'll make it through this. All he needs is more time. It seems he's much more better than he was a year ago.

Gold: That's true.

Kyran: So, please- Look on the bright side. Funneh's happy, I would hate seeing her be in a hospital. Fighting for her life, in pain than anything else. Her leaving us and everything else behind is so much more better than her trying to fight.

Gold looks up and smiles wider than before.

Gold: Alright, Alright. You win.

Kyran: I know.

Kyran looks down at her and smirks.
