Chapter 18: Back at last

And with that, Alec has been gone for almost 2 weeks. He fulfilled a promise that- Will never be completed. Everyone started getting worried on Funneh's health, she never let's anyone in her dorm anymore. All Funneh thought about was her last conversation with Alec. Who know's were he's at right now, Funneh's mind ran off of Alec's disappearance 24/7. Funneh did get up here and there to clean the dorm a bit, just to tidy up things that she made messy. The only health Funneh cared for was her cat. Nothing more. She doesn't care to eat, drink or even keep her hygiene up. She just wonder's around the dorm like a dead corpse that can still walk even though it's dead.

Funneh finally starts making it downstairs after what felt like 10 minutes of walking. She finally makes it downstairs, but all she does is plops down on the floor and stares at the front door as if Alec will just appear any minute now. She just kept staring and staring, also hearing her phone go off. But she ignores it, knowing it's her friends trying to make sure she's okay and doing well. Funneh finally get's annoyed from her notifications, she grabs her phone and silent's it. She get's up, walks over to the kitchen and put's her phone down. Leaving it there to die. She turns around, grabs her cat and leaves upstairs.

She blocks everything in her life out, just her and her cat together. Alone. No one was able to talk to her, if anything- They we're even lucky to get one word out.

Funneh plops down on the bed, looking up at the wall that had all the photos of her and Alec together. She started to get frustrated, she grabbed a pillow and plopped it down on her face. The cat started meowing at her, showing a worried look as if it understood everything.

Funneh's mind: You promised...yet, you failed...

Funneh turns to her side, facing the closet.

Funneh's mind: We're are you...

Kiara goes around to Funneh's face, meowing once more before laying down beside her.

Funneh: You miss daddy too, don't you?

The cat does a tired meow.

Funneh: I know, I miss him too...

Funneh started to slowly shut her eyes. Finally falling to sleep after not being able to for 2 weeks.

It's been about 2 and a half hours. Funneh woke up to Kiara meowing at the door, demanding Funneh to open it. She started scratching, annoying Funneh. Funneh starts to get up.

Funneh: Alright, Alright. You can go out.

Funneh starts to slowly open up the door, Kiara bolted out. But stopped mid-way.

Funneh: What? I let you out, is that not enough?

Kiara turns her head, meowing. As if she wanted Funneh to follow her.

Funneh: Want me to follow you?

Kiara runs to the stairs. Staring back at Funneh.

Funneh: Okay?... I'm coming.

Funneh started to slowly make her way to Kiara. Once Funneh was a few inches away from the cat, Kiara ran down the stairs. Staring back at Funneh from the bottom of the steps.

Funneh: I'm slowly but surely making it there. Give me a sec.

Funneh started wobbling down the steps, she was weak from not taking care of herself. But- Kiara didn't break eye contact. Just kept staring till Funneh made it down.

Funneh finally made it to the last step, Kiara started jumping on her. Then ran around the wall we're Funneh couldn't see her.

Funneh stepped off the last step, facing near the front door. She froze. She didn't move, she didn't speak. She just stopped working.
