The life of a rockstar. Eccentric, charismatic, self destructive, fun.
Bucky Barnes, world renown drummer of the Howling Commandos, the top rock band of modern time. He is joined by his best friends, lead singer Steve Rogers, guitarist Sam Wilson, and bassist Clint Barton.
Bucky is known for many things, his life was constantly in the limelight. He was a womanizer, an avid drinker and partier, and he never said no to a good time. He was used to his life being dissected under the watchful of eye of the public, and his fans. Nothing went unnoticed, everything had a secret meaning in the Barnes fan club, things that he would've never even considered, but the theories were convincing. He is an enigma, a person put on a pedestal for fans to worship, and he would be lying to himself if that didn't make him proud. His entire life he had put the world in front of him, now he stood as the king of his own universe.
That is, until his universe became a single woman he had met one night.
Steve's girlfriend Natasha had a habit of mingling amongst the crowd and making friends. Tonight was no different as they lounged in the green room, half drank beers lining the table, smoke filling the open airspace from the cigarettes that were being smoked. "They'll love you, shut up, Stevie doesn't like when I'm in the crowd alone!" Natasha's laugh pulled all their attention towards the door, the redhead appearing with a blonde behind her, the shy demeanor immediately overcoming her as Bucky watched her try to hide behind Natasha. "Baby, you gotta give us a warning." Steve groaned, opening his arm for his girlfriend to walk into, his fingers pressing into her exposed skin. "Sorry Stevie, but everyone, this is Addison, be nice she's shy."
The wind blew around Addison as she sat on the balcony of the Howling Commando's hotel room, her phone pressed to her ear when Bucky stepped out, stopping when he heard her sniffle. "I get it okay Noah," her voice cracked, Bucky pausing his breath so she couldn't hear him, "I'll get the rest tomorrow." She whispered, before hanging up, pressing her forehead against her knees, a small cry leaving her lips. Bucky took a deep breath, knocking against the window gently, her head snapping up to wipe her eyes. "Hey," Bucky smiled softly, sitting down beside her, handing her a bottle of Jack Daniels, "figured you might need it." He chuckled, watching as she wrapped her fingers around the bottle taking a long drink. "Thanks."
She soon became his world, his newest addiction. He couldn't get rid of the drugs, or the alcohol, and she never tried to pry them from him, but she was his strongest addiction. Addison was his comfort, his muse, his desire. He longed to be surrounded by her arms, devouring her soul, shielding her from the world. He was suddenly aware of his life being put under a microscope, the way his fans ripped apart any one he was seen around, how his world was constantly spinning because he never controlled the narrative.
Three weeks had passed since they first met, Bucky had spent all his free time with Addison. The sun was setting under the horizon, casting the room in an orange glow. Bucky was sat on the couch, a cigarette hanging from his mouth, bare tattoo covered chest on display while Addison sat in his t-shirt on the bed, the sheets loosely around her waist as a book was presented in front of her face, her eyes dancing across the pages. "Come on tour with me." Bucky blurted out, taking a long drag from his cigarette while her eyes trailed to him. "What?" She questioned softly, placing the bookmark between the pages before kneeling on the bed. "Please baby, I spend all my free time here, come with me," Bucky murmured as he rose, crossing the room in three slow strides, planting his palms against the mattress, rubbing his nose against hers gently. "Bucky but-" Addison breathed out, her eyes falling closed as he pressed his lips against hers slowly. "Take a chance baby doll, live on the wild side."
Addison was quiet, reserved, hated being in the public eye. The constant fights were wearing on her, dragging her below the surface of her sea of emotions, and she was struggling to break free again. They would fight, kiss, make up, it was the constant cycle. Everyday there was a new tabloid of her after their relationship surfaced, being met with a woman her stated Bucky spent the night between her legs, loving her like no other man had before. "Natasha, it's getting too much, every fucking day there's something new." Addison whispered, tears rolling down her cheeks as she clutched Bucky's sweatshirt that she was wearing. The two girls stayed back from the concert as another headline broke. "He loves you sweets, you know that." Natasha whispered, wiping the tears from Addison's cheeks. "For how long?"
Addison's heart shattered as she read the article, the words blurring as tears flooded her vision. "Move!" Bucky yelled, his voice frantic as he rushed towards the tour bus, the metal creaking under his grip, cold air flooding the space as he climbed in, rushing over to Addison, groaning when she pushed him back. "Don't fucking touch me!" She screamed, swinging her arms wildly as tears ran down her cheeks. "Baby." Bucky whispered, gripping her biceps, her head falling on his chest. "How could you do this to me? I gave up everything to you." She sobbed, his body moving backwards, settling them into the couches of the tour bus. "I didn't cheat baby, I promise." He whispered, pressing a kiss to her neck before holding her like his life depended on it, because in his mind, it did.
This is their story, from beginning to now.
