Dealing with Chaos

Unexpected

Percy POV:

Packing up my tent, I walked towards the edge of the Hunter's camp, where four of the hunters along with their lady stood waiting for me.

Artemis, Zoë, Thalia, Tracy and Bianca were the only hunters present. First, Tracy came up to me and hugged me. Pulling back, she spoke, "Stay safe, big brother. I swear if you do anything stupid, I will myself find you and beat you up for it. Understood?" Her expression was threatening, almost challenging me to defy her.

Playing it safe, I nodded and smiled at her. Thalias eyes immediately got an evil glint and she whispered, "Now I will leave you with your girlfriend and our mistress. Afterall, you need to say your goodbyes, right? It seems you managed to conquer one of our hearts after all, but please don't do that 'goodbye kiss' cliché thingy. I will myself castrate you, understand?"

Saying so, she dashed off towards the camp, leaving behind a blushing mess of a boy. Oh wait. That was me.

Artemis raised her eyebrows at my condition, but decided on not questioning it.

"I will go and tell the hunters of our short leave, meanwhile you can say your goodbyes to Zoe and Bianca."

I only nodded. She seemed satisfied with this and flashed out. This left only Bianca, Zoë and myself.

Bianca came up and hugged me before walking away with a light blush on her face.

Shifting around awkwardly, I tried to start a conversation. "So...um I guess this is goodbye for now." I spoke out.

She seemed relieved that I had started the conversation. Nodding, she spoke, "Yes. I guess it is."

Gaining some of my confidence back, I walked towards her and pulled her in for a hug, effectively drawing a help from her.

"I am really gonna miss you, Lieutenant, even if I'm going away for only a few days, maybe weeks."

She let out a soft chuckle before replying, "I will miss you too, kelp head."

I grabbed her hand, I turned around to walk towards the lake, where We used to dip our legs and have water fights.

As I reached the water I turned towards her and pulled out Riptide, I looked her in the eyes and then channeled all of my power in a ball big enough to fit the sword. I started sweating from the effort, she turned to look at me and asked "What are you doing? Are you Okay?"

Suddenly the black ball of power popped and I fell to one knee while sweating, Riptide had turned into a beautiful silver sword, the handle was the perfect shape for Zoes hand, on the hilt you could see a trident and a crescent moon engraved in chaos platinum.

"I thought that I should give you a present before leaving, but since it gave you bad memories I decided to change it up a bit, now it will remind you of the best moments in your life." I said

"I.. I.. I don't know what to say." she gingerly took it in her hands and stared at it.

"I'll give you time to think it over, right now I think Artemis is waiting for me."

I had walked a few steps when I heard a twig snap behind me. I turned around, but the moment I did so, I felt a body crash into me and a pair of lips clashing into mine.

I was too shocked to respond. Zoë Nightshade was kissing me. She was KISSING me. The second most devoted man-hater was just kissing me, a male. I could literally feel my brain melting in my head as I felt the soft pair of lips on mine.

She must have taken my lack of response as rejection, because the next moment, she pulled back and tried to run away. Anticipating this, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her back to me.
