Chapter 2: Raider Encounter

It has been almost 2 hours since Isaac left the Red Rocket shop and he has barely found any resources, let alone a place to stay the night. He has been walking along the old world roads that are falling apart with age and has only found a couple houses with barely any useful items worth taking. The long travels have began to take its toll on Isaac, his legs starting to feel weak while the rest of his body is not far behind. Out of nowhere, he hears a shot go off not too far away. Instinctually, Isaac ducks to cover behind a log that was off the road. Taking out his pistol he begins to peer over the edge of the log scanning the terrain. Isaac saw no movement between the trees in front nor behind him. Still in search of where the shot came from Isaac kept looking and noticed smoke from a campfire in the sky. Taking a tactical approach, Isaac began moving toward the smoke off road using the trees as cover. He just about reaches a camp when another shot goes off and he quickly hides behind a close by tree. Once covered Isaac starts to look past the tree at a camp full of ruggedly dressed individuals. They were yelling and pouncing around crazily. In the middle of them lie two dead people with bullet wounds going through their head. Next to the two was a woman dressed in a mix of leather and rags with short straight hair. She was on her knees with her hands behind her head with a serious but fearful look on her face at what the individuals did to the people before her. Isaac started to panic because he knew that it would only be a matter of time before the individuals would shoot her so he started to look around and see what he could do to stop them. One of the crazy individuals starts to speak

"Alright Hannah, this is your last chance. Tell us who you sold us out to, or your getting one in your head just like your friends here."

The girl keeps the serious look on her face while still trying to talk them down

"I didn't sell anyone out John. I don't know why those patrols were waiting for us."

All of a sudden another one of the rugged individuals spoke up

"You can lie all day Hannah. We went through your room and saw your letters. We know you've been in contact with someone telling them about all our raids."

The girl gets more worried look on her face knowing what is to come. Isaac grows more and more desperate looking around and figuring out what he can do. He begins to think over the information in his head. "Three enemies", "One friendly in the middle", "Don't have enough bullets to shoot all of them", "Can't shoot the gas canisters by them without possibly injuring the girl". Isaac keeps scouring when a thought rushes in his head. "Distraction". Isaac pulls out the money he got from the shop and a lighter he got from traveling on the road. He begins to light the wad of cash as the person raises his gun to shoot the girl. Isaac tosses the wad yelling

"MOLOTOV OUT"

Everyone looks towards the direction of Isaac and sees the wad of fire heading their way. From hearing Isaac and seeing the fire they assume someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the group instead of just a wad of cash on fire. Everyone ducks for cover behind the debris except for the girl who begins running the opposite direction of Isaac. After the fire lands and the rugged people don't hear or see a massive fire blow up, they realize they've been had. Looking to where the girl ran she had already run too far out of range for a clean shot. They then look to where Isaac was and don't see anyone. The main guy yells.

"Lexi find Hannah and bring her back! Henry help me find the idiot who tricked us! Let's see if we can't have four corpses to leave out for the animals!"

Isaac's heart drops upon hearing this as while everyone paid attention to where he was prior, he had taken the opportunity to change location and hide behind a torn down shack not too far by. Looking through the torn wood he sees the two men approaching him with their guns drawn. He pulls out his pistol and grabs his baton from his satchel. He looks back through the wood and sees the two men are about to split up and go around the shack when a shot can be heard in the distance. The guy from before says
