Isaac's eyes start twitching as he creaks them open just like waking up in the morning. He looks to his left and sees Rollins passed out and to his right Hannah as well. His mind starts back up and recalling everything that happened before with the escape and the cultist capturing them. With this running through his brain his body starts moving around and hitting the two others with him to wake them up. Rollins starts groaning and Hannah still isn't making a noise but she is breathing. Rollins starts asking questions
"Isaac.....where are we?"
Isaac looks around and sees they have been bound with their hands behind their back sitting on the floor of a small tent. No windows or gaps in the fabric show them the outside and there lays only random cans and bottles on the ground. Isaac responds with
"I don't know, looks like they put us in a small tent. More than likely meaning we aren't too far from their town. C'mon, see if you can untie my hands."
Rollins looks down and sees duct tape around his hands and retorts to Isaac
"No way of getting through military grade duct tape without a knife."
Isaac scoffs and continues to bump Hannah more to wake her up. Rollins peers over at the gap in the tent seeing a campfire set up. The mumbles of the cultists can be heard outside and from the sound of it seems like more than ten people maybe even twenty. The Knight gazes over at Isaac still bumping Hannah with his shoulder and he speaks up
"Isaac, speaking honestly......we might not make it out of this one."
Isaac continually bumping Hannah gives a quick counter
"It'll be alright once Hannah wakes up. We can get a plan and get out of here with our lives at the least."
Rollins rests his head back to a firm posture and tells Isaac
"You know you were right about me at the bar. I do treat you like a soldier even though your not. Hell, I do the same with everyone. Guess it has always just been that way for me."
Isaac finally stops attempting to wake Hannah up and gazes at Rollins who continually looks forward at the front of the tent.
"My father was a soldier before the bombs. He always treated me like I was one as well and I always got happy cause I felt like one myself. When we all left Appalachia, he also left that part of himself behind as well. Leaving behind his home of generations of his family broke him and he's been depressed ever since. Last I saw he would mope around our home acting like his life meant nothing. That's why I returned to Appalachia, to reclaim our home so my dad can finally smile again and feel like the soldier he used to be protecting our home. I planned to help them move down again once the seasons got better, but when I got to our home...."
Rollins lets out a sarcastic chuckle as he continues
"The place was ruined. Apparently our home had residents after we left. The walls had been broken apart barely even being called a wall by then, all the furniture was smashed up and some used for firewood by the outside campfires, and the farmland had been picked clean and burned. My guess is some raiders made our home a all you can fuck with property where nothing is off limits to be destroyed. After all that effort to come back to find the one thing that could make my dad happy again be a raiders play thing for a while broke me. I wondered around Appalachia for a short while not knowing where to go or what to do now. I had no purpose, till I ran into the Brotherhood of Steel. They saved me from a mutated bear couple years later and took me in. Then it hit me, we might have lost our home but becoming a soldier just like my father; that might be just enough. So after joining up and rising to the rank of Knight I wrote home and sure enough I heard my father had never been happier to here me living out the life of a soldier like he did so long ago. Killed two birds with one stone as they say, got to be the soldier I always wanted to be and got my dad to smile again. Wish I could have seen his face when he heard the news."
