A/N: Sorry I haven't updated recently, I had a big school project and an extremely busy weekend. Anyways, I just wanted to dedicate this chapter to two of my closer friends that are supporting my book. Thanks to Eric and Mattea for showing me Wattpad and reading my story when not many others do. And, of course, I do have to thank the guy who in the past few years I've come to my consider my coach. Thanks to Nick for not only being there through every story and every fail at a story I've had, but also nagging me to keep writing them. And finally, thanks to those of you that I don't know personally who are sticking with the story. It means a lot!
See you tomorrow, Blaire. Blaire woke up that next day with Dillon's final words in her mind. Last night had been like a dream, but now that it was tomorrow, she was a little worried. How was her day going to go? What's going to happen with Dillon? A loud buzz on her nightstand jolted Blaire out of her thoughts. She grabbed her phone quickly, hoping to see a message from Dillon.
I'm picking you up early and you're going to tell me everything that happened last night. Is fifteen minutes enough time?
The text from Callie made Blaire laugh. She'd known this girl for less than a week, yet she still acted more like a best friend than Blaire's closest friend at her old school did.
Sure, should be enough. You may have to come in and listen though, there's no way I'm going to be ready fifteen minutes early.
Blaire set her phone down and jumped in the shower, thinking about exactly how she was going to tell Callie what happened. She didn't want to describe the whole thing in detail, that seemed a little too personal. But Blaire had just gotten into a relationship with the only guy at her school that doesn't date. Ever. That was going to be hard to explain without a little detail, even with what happened at the party.
Your door is locked.
The message from Callie came as Blaire was finishing her makeup. Being too lazy to go downstairs and unlock the door, Blaire just texted back.
Spare key is attached to the bottom of the windowsill on the right by a magnet. Go ahead and let yourself in.
About a minute later, Callie strutted into Blaire's room. With her short, strapless, red dress, strappy black high heels, and curled hair, which hung over her back in soft ringlets, Callie looked like she was dressed for success. Or for a guy.
"Well hello, Fancy. May I ask what this is about?" Blaire asked teasingly.
"Yeah, after you tell me what happened last night with Dillon," Callie replies with a maniacal grin.
"Fine. We went for a walk down that path across the street from my house and we started talking about how much we remember from the party. Then he kissed me again," Blaire is cut off by Callie's screech.
"Again? Girl, he wants you. Bad. He's never chased a girl down like this before!"
"Wait, there's more. He walked away again, just like before class yesterday. So I went after him and basically told him I'm not doing this. I'm not dealing with the confusion and I'm not going to be his fling. So, he asked me out," Blaire glances at Callie for approval, only to see her jaw hanging open.
"What did you say? He hasn't been in a relationship since before I was in high school!"
"I said yes. And before you tell me how stupid that is, don't worry. I'm not going to give him what he wants right away. I know he will walk away instantly. I'm going to make him wait. If he does, he's worth it. Callie, I couldn't just say no. I've kissed guys before, but nothing has ever been like this. I can't pass that up," Blaire reasons.
