Personally, I don't have a set opinion on Thor in regards to whether I like him or not. Thor as a character has pretty good development and is really funny but is personally a bit too dumb for me (I know that this is part of his character, don't come at me).

I started off not liking him in Thor 1 because I felt like he was too dumb and wasn't that funny in the first movie (this is from memory, I haven't watched Thor and Thor the Dark World in ages). I felt like he was too loud and brash, but I knew that it was all part of his character.

Then, in Thor the dark world, I actually started to really enjoy his character because he became a bit smarter, funnier and the chemistry between Loki and Thor in this movie was so funny. Overall, I didn't enjoy the movie that much in terms of the plot, but I really enjoyed Thor in this movie.

THOR RAGNAROK!!!

Ok this movie was great! Thor definitely became smarter, he was sooooo funny and the Thor and Loki dynamic was so funny during the whole movie. Thor still has his dumb moments, and that's part of his character, but he's not as dumb, brash and straightforward as he used to be.

And then, in Infinity War, Loki dies. This causes Thor to go all serious and kinda lose his humour, which, again, is part of the storyline and I totally get that.

Endgame was the funniest, he became fat Thor and when we went to go see it, my mum and all the other mums where excited to see Chris Hemsworth again and the DISAPPOINTMENT when he came on as fat Thor was hilarious. The decision to keep him as fat Thor I feel is a great choice as it really fits his character and how he's mourning the loss of his brother who he'd grown close to over the years.

His overall character development is good, but kind of the same as everyone else where he starts off being an arrogant and cocky person who thinks everything's going great until something happens which makes them change their ways (not just picking on Thor here, it's a common theme amongst them all. Like Dr Strange, Captain Marvel, even Tony). This is something that I'm not too fussed about because despite the characters being relatively similar, there are things that make each character's story different and entertaining in their own way.

I love how Thor develops as a character, becoming smarter, funnier and stronger (both mentally and physically). I also love how Marvel made the decision to make him feel more relatable in Endgame.

The way that Chris Hemsworth plays this character is amazing, capturing the childish, arrogant and blunt Thor in a way I can't picture anyone else doing.

So overall, I think that Thor's a decent character and is true to what Stan Lee envisioned. I personally find him too blunt at times, but hey, we can't love them all.
