Alpha's Daughter

 I ran down the stairs with Charlie chasing me. My laughter filled the house as I ran away. Charlie was Talon's Beta. Let's just say he was like an older brother more than my mates Beta. I tripped on the carpet and fell to the ground. 

"The best warrior has been slain by the mighty carpet in the living room," Charlie laughed. Talon walked in the room and glared at him. 

"Stop tormenting my mate," he growled playfully, he helped me up and wrapped his arms around my waist. I smiled and stood on my tippy toes. I pressed my lips to his and my mark tingled. We marked and mated two nights ago. I smiled and pulled away. I walked towards Charlie and saw fear in his eyes. 

"There's something on your shirt," I told him pointing a finger at his chest. He looked down and I flicked my finger up flicking his nose. Talon chuckled from behind me as Charlie glared.

"The mighty beta has been angered by a blow to the nose," Talon continued laughing. I snickered at Charlie before sauntering over to Talon. 

I felt a wave of nausea. I sprinted from Talon towards the closest bathroom. I emptied the whole contents of my stomach. Talon ran into the bathroom and picked me up off the floor. 

"I'm taking you to the doctor," Talon growled 

"I'm fine," I groaned curling into his side. 

"I know but I just want to make sure," he murmured in my ear. I nodded my head. We swiftly made our way to Dr. Avery's house. He opened the door quickly and led us in. I was placed on a medical bed and he quickly took some blood and my temperature. 

"Alpha she's pregnant," he said his bright blue eyes scanning over the chart. 

"Really?" Talon asked sitting on the side of the bed. He pulled me into his side. 

"She is indeed pregnant," he smiled. I nodded my head and smiled. I kissed Talon on the cheek and pulled away from him. I ran around the room screaming happily. 

"Zephyrin stop you're going to hurt yourself," Talon groaned. 

"I'm a wolf not a doll," I hissed back. He rolled his eyes and pulled me into his chest. 

"Please stop," he pleaded. I pretended to contemplate the idea in my head. 

"I'm good, lets go get food!" I exclaimed. He groaned and pulled me out of the room. We both called a quick thanks to Dr. Avery and left his house. I walked calmly with Talon towards our house, the kitchen to be more exact.

"What do you want to eat?" Talon asked pulling away from my side and towards the fridge. 

"BROWNIES!" I yelled loudly. He flinched and playfully glared at me. 

"Okay, I will make brownies," he nodded and laughed, I smiled listening to his loud laughter. 

"Deal but I get to eat some of the batter," I bartered. He nodded his head and pulled out the necessary ingredients. 

The smell of brownies soon filled the air with the delightful scent. I smiled and grabbed the first cut brownie out of the hot pan. I placed it in my mouth. It basically melted on my tongue, the chocolate taste exploded in my mouth. I moaned loudly reaching for another brownie. 

"Don't do that," Talon growled placing a brownie in his mouth. I smiled and stood up wrapping my arms around his torso. 

"Can we please go and train, well you go train and I will watch," I said appealing to his wolf. I knew that if I wanted to train I had to do it when he was working or away. Me now being pregnant he wouldn't let me train I just knew it. 

"Okay I'll call the warriors and see if they want to join me," Talon whispered closing his eyes and mind linking the warriors. He opened them and nodded. I watched him run up the stairs. Minutes later he was back down the stairs only in shorts and a pair of runners. I smirked and ran my hands over his tattoo. I traced it and he shivered. 

"Lets go or we will never leave," I whispered. He nodded his head and lifted me up bridal style. I cuddled into his chest. He smiled at me and ran towards the training field. We reached the training field and the twenty warriors that we had hand picked together were already there. All their mates sitting on a log near the training grounds. Today I decided to join them. I sat down next to the nineteen other girls. Charlie sadly hasn't found his mate. I sat down and started chatting with the girls. I watched the guys spar keeping my eyes on Talon. He was much stronger than the other guys and not because he is an Alpha, he was very good at connecting with his wolf. 

"Way to go boys!" Talon yelled out walking towards me. "And since you are some of my very trusted men I want you to know that Zephyrin is pregnant with our first child," he smirked. All the men started hooting and hollering. Their mates smiled at me and gave me a hug. 

"Let's go," I muttered to Talon. We left the training field and made our way back to the house. I flopped down on the couch and curled up in a small ball. Talon walked over and lifted me up off the couch and sat me on his lap. I laid my head against his chest and listened to the steady beat of his heart. I rolled into a dreamless sleep. 

"Zephyrin," Talon whispered. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked away from the glaring sun. 

"What?" I growled lowly not wanting to be awake yet. 

"I have to leave, Zephyrin, I love you I have to leave," Talon whispered his voice cracking. I rolled back over. Tears were in his eyes as he stared at me. I tried to blink away my tears as I stared at him. 

" Please tell me you're lying," I croaked wrapping my arms around his waist, I pressed my face into his chest. 

"I wish I could but I can't, I'm going to win this fight as fast as possible," he whispered tears now streaming down his face. I let my tears fall. The hot tears ran down my face. 

"But w-what about our baby, Talon?" I cried, stuttering over my words. He looked at me sincerely his eyes shining with love. 

"I will hopefully be back before our baby is born," he murmured

"I LOVE YOU!" I exclaimed pulling myself tighter towards him. "When do you leave?" 

"In an hour," Talon cried kissing my forehead. 

"O-okay," I stuttered I leaned up and pressed my lips to hit.  He cradled me in his arms for the last hour we would have in a while. 

"I promise I will send you as many letters as possible and I will send money too to help pay for the baby stuff and leave you my credit cards, and Charlie is staying, he is going to take care of the pack," he promised.  I nodded my head and I kissed him yet again. He climbed out of the bed and slipped a shirt on. I crawled out of bed and followed him to the door. Many men were already outside, their mates with tears in her eyes. I cried, I let the tears stream down my face as I walked towards the other women. Talon kissed me once more and walked towards the other men. I watched them climb into black SUV's  and leave. They drove down the long gravel road to who knows where. 

"Okay everyone I know it's going to be hard but everyone needs to go home and try and sleep," Charlie said loudly. The women slowly began walking away towards their houses. 

"Charlie where are you staying?" I croaked stopping the tears. 

"At my house," he replied slinging an arm around my shoulders. 

"C-could you stay with m-me?" I stuttered placing my hands over my stomach. 

"I can," he whispered hugging me towards his chest. I wrapped my arms around his torso. He picked me up quickly and carried me back into my house. He laid me in bed and tucked the sheets around me. I closed my eyes and pulled Talon's pillow onto my chest I sniffed the pillow and let the tears pull me back into a restless sleep.
