"Zeph," Emmy said walking into my room. I rolled over and glared at her. She was interrupting my reading, she knew it too.

"What do you want?" I whispered steadily my voice menacing and dark. she took a step back before glaring back at me.

"Dad wants to talk to you," she spun on her heel and ran out of the room. I sighed and stood up from my bed. I slowly shut my book and straightend my shirt. I made my way out of my room and into the hallway. I took my time making my way to his office. I knocked on the door softly waiting for him to call me in.

"Come in!" His gruff voice yelled. I slowly opened the large oak door and slipped in. I closed it behind myself, I walked over to his desk and sat in a chair.

"Hi sir," I whispered, I don't like calling him dad, he's not my dad.

"Hi Zephyrine," he said not looking up from the file in front of him. "There is going to be a party here and all the Alphas are going to be here, I'm hoping that you will find your mate in one of these Alphas and we become closer," he explained. "Now I'm not meaning to be cold like I don't care about you, but I want you to dress nice, very nice and you will meet all the Alpha's at the door," he continued "You have 4 hours to be ready, have fun Zeph, I love you," he said standing up from his chair. He walked around his desk and towards me. James wrapped his arms around me.

"What happens if I don't find my mate?" I asked. This was stupid, he was using me. My wolf was enraged.

"Then one alpha can choose you and you two will be married," he said. My heart clenched did he ever really care about me?

"Did you ever care about me?" I shrieked. Angry tears streamed down my face, I was resisting the urge to shift. My wolf was prowling, pushing against my resistance and self control.

"I did and I still do but you have to understand that there is a war brewing and we have to protect ourselves, I'm sorry Zeph," He whispered, I pulled out of his arms violently. "Take my credit card," he whispered. I grabbed the card and stormed out of the room. I ran down the stairs with the card in my hands.

I shifted outside and ran as fast as I could to the nearest mall. I shifted back an slipped my clothes on, the card still in my pocket. I ran into the mall and slowed to a normal pace. I made my way into the first dress store I saw and began looking around for the perfect dress. I found one that was floor length with a lime green body which faded into a light pink. I tried the dress on, it fit perfectly. I pulled it off and brought it to the counter to pay. I bought the dress and some matching lime green shoes. I brought everything with me to the forest. I stripped out of my clothes and shifted. I carried my clothes in my mouth, I made my way back to the house my wolf was enraged still with my "father". I shifted back and slipped into my clothes. I ran into the house and into my room. I started curling my hair with my wand. My black hair fell down my back in perfect curls. I added some makeup to my face making my blue eyes pop. I had two hours left.

"EMMY!" I yelled wanting to wait another hour or so before I got into my dress. She came flying into my room her blond hair pulled into a tight elegant bun. She left two hanging curled peices framing her face perfectly and she had done her makeup beautifully.

"Yes?" she asked, she was dressed in her bathrobe and had a worried expression her her face.

"Wanna watch a movie?" I asked casually. She glared at me but laid on my bed a pillow under her stomach.

"I thought somebody was in here trying to kill you," she scowled as I put in a movie. Finding Nemo my favourite. We sat on my bed and watched the movie intently. I had just begun to put in Snow White when I looked at the clock. Only half and hour. I looked at Emmy with wide eyes.

"We got to get ready!" I shrieked. She jumped off my bed and disappeared out of my room. I stumbled around the room hunting for a small silver bracelet. I found it luckily and slid it into my delicate wrist. I slid my dress on and stepped into my shoes. Checking myself in the mirror one last time, I started making my way down the stairs.

I stood by the door and waited! And waited! And waited. I glanced at the clock and sighed. I opened the door and walked to the small bench on the front porch. I sat down and closed my eyes slightly.

I was shook abruptly awake from the best sleep ever. Emmy stood over me a panicked look on her face.

"The first car just pulled up," she declared. I nodded and stood up smoothing my dress. I stood by the door and waited for the alpha at the door. He slammed his car door shut and walked towards me. He had broad shoulders and large muscles. He was hot but he wasn't the one.

"Hello I'm Zephyrin!" I smiled enthusiastically at the cute man. He nodded his head and stopped in front of me.

"I'm Derek!" He smiled. I shook his hand but felt nothing so he made his way inside. Many more alphas arrived but none were the one.
