3 MONTHS

I rubbed my small baby bump. Charlie was rubbing my shoulders. I had many tears running down my face as I got a note from Talon. He said it would be another 3 months. I couldn't do it. I couldn't sleep anymore I barely ate. I held the note to my chest and pulled away from Charlie.

"Charlie do you think I could try mind linking him?" I whispered hiccuping.

"You know you shouldn't try it while you are pregnant, you're not even suppose to shift anymore. You can do this! You have to do this for your little baby," Charlie said confidently.

"Can you get me some crackers?" I asked looking at him through my tears.

"Sure, I'll be right back," he complied and walked down the stairs.

CHARLIE'S POV

I was falling for my best friends mate who was pregnant with their first child. She was perfect, her face, her hair, her smile, even her small baby bump. She was innocent and smart. I couldn't stand to see her cry over Talon although I totally understood what she was going through. Maybe I should tell her. I thought to myself.

I grabbed the crackers and ran back up the stairs. I handed Zephyrin the crackers. She tore into the box and shoved a few crackers into her mouth. She let out a soft moan as the food reached her stomach. I smiled at her and began making my way back to my room in their house.

ZEPHYRIN'S POV

I finished the box of crackers and placed the empty box on the floor. I took the tear stained letter. I clipped it with the other letters the ones I get once a week. I had about 12 already. After it was safely in the silver paper clip I laid back down in bed. I closed my eyes and forced myself into a restless sleep. I woke up starving my belly craving something delicious.

I crawled out of bed and made my way down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen. I turned the stove on and placed a pan on it. I cracked an egg and began to scramble it. I dumped it onto my plate and sat down at the kitchen table. Quickly I finished my eggs and dropped my plate in the sink. I ran up the stairs slowly towards the only place I felt comfortable. I sauntered into Talon's office and sat in his big spinny chair. His comforting smell wafted around me. I watched the men train from the large window.

I pulled out the files that I had stared at for the last three months. There were many that have been stamped deceased by Charlie from what Talon has sent him. I looked through the files yet again. We have had many men sent home but none the Warriors. Every letter Talon updated me on their progress.

"I love you Talon!" I murmured

6 MONTHS

I slid out of bed and into a pair of yoga pants and a T shirt. I waddled my way down the stairs. I pushed my feet into a fair of yellow flip flops and threw open the front door. Avery was standing at the door a bored look on her wonderful face.

"Ready?" I asked stepping out of the house. Avery was Drake's mate. Drake was one of the Warriors who was one of the best.

"Let's go," Avery replied idly walking off the porch. I smiled and followed her towards her yellow Porsche. We climbed in and she drove into town.

"Where are we going Avery?" I asked as we past our pedicure place.

"You'll see," she replied speeding up slightly. We reached the edge of town and she parked in front of two large oak trees. "Get out," she smiled at me

"Why?" I nervously asked placing my hands over my large stomach.

"Just do it, don't worry you're not going to get hurt," she told me climbing out of the car herself. Two wolves approached from between the two trees. Avery wore a big smile on her face as she started at the large brown wolf. I focused on the gigantic black wolf and I felt tears slip down my face. Both wolves shifted back.

Talon ran towards me his arms outstretched. I threw myself in his arms and cried.

"Zeph we can only stay for a little bit," he murmured in my hair.

"I don't care," I whispered pulling away and pressing my lips to his. Talons hand moved to my belly and he pressed his hands against it. I pulled away and grabbed his hands and placed them where our little baby was kicking! A large grin spread across his features

"I love you," I whispered. I leaned against his side and cried. I didn't want him to leave, I wanted to go with him.

"I love you too," he replied pressing his lips to the crown of my head.

"Please finish this, Talon I need you at home! I miss you!" I cried into his shoulder

"I'll finish it as fast as I can! I love you so much and just want to be home!" He whispered.

"I love you!" I mumbled through my tears. I pressed my lips to his! He pulled away and just held me for the time being.

"I'm so sorry Zephyrin I have to go," he whispered! More tears slipped down my cheeks and I pulled away! I pressed another kiss to his lips and watched him shift. He gave me one last fleeting glance before he ran into the trees.

I turned and walked back to the car. Avery walked beside me and wrapped her arm around me! We reached the car and I climbed into the passenger seat. We quickly made our way towards the house not speaking a word. She dropped me off at my house and left leaving me alone. I climbed the stairs to Talons office. Opening the door his smell hit me. Charlie sat in Talon's chair!

"Get out," I croaked. He stood up from the chair and walked towards me.

"I have something to tell you that I think you need to know, I have slowly fallen in love with you," he admitted quickly

"Ch-Charlie I Umm," I responded

"I know you do not feel the same way but I wanted you to know that I will never act on these feelings unless you initiate the act, you are my best friends mate and he is fighting for you! I could never step in on that and I know you do not feel the same way," he explained, I nodded my head and sat down in Talon's chair.
