Slowly after greeting people at the door for two hours I made my way inside. I sat in a small chair by the door and waited for more people. But none came. I am going to be mated to somebody who is not my mate. My wolf whined inside of my head.

Many people approached me but didn't say anything. They waited awkwardly for me to initiate some conversation but I never did. Emmy brought me a piece of cake but it sat un touched. A soft knock on the door woke me from my strange trance. I stood and smoothed out the creases in my dress before opening the door. There stood the most handsome man I have ever seen. He had deep brown eyes and short black hair. He was taller then I by a lot so I am guessing about 6'7 maybe. I looked his eyes more closely and saw a large scar across his right eye.

"Sorry I'm late I'm Talon," he said a large smile on his handsome face.

"Nice to meet you Talon I'm Zephyrin," I replied sniffing the air discreetly. His scent was wonderful. He smelt like woods and men's cologne. It was amazing. I reached out to shake his hands and as they touched a wonderful feeling shot up my arm. He smiled and pulled me towards his chest. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his muscular torso.

"Mate!" He snarled as another male approached.

"Hey it's okay," I laughed cuddling deeper into his chest.

"Let's go find your dad," he said grabbing my hand. We made our way towards where my father should be. I approached him.

"Alpha!" I said stepping closer to Talon.

"Yes?" He asked looking at our intertwined hands.

"This is Alpha Talon my mate!" I smiled knowingly at my father. He wasn't expecting me to find my mate.

"And what pack are you from Alpha Talon?" My dad asked an annoying smirk on his face. Knowing my father he thought it as some small tiny pack that wouldn't matter.

"Alpha Talon of the Night Shadow pack," Talon said proudly. My father spit his wine from his mouth towards us. I stepped out of the way with Talon. Moving away from his spray.

"Wh-when will you be leaving?" He stuttered. I laughed and wrapped my arms around Talons torso.

"Does tomorrow sound alright?" I questioned Talon.

"Sounds perfect," he smiled kissing me on the cheek. I smiled and turned away from my father. I pulled Talon away from my father and up the stairs. We made our way up to my room. I closed the door and pulled out a suitcase. I quickly stuffed clothing into the suitcase. I tore my room apart taking everything I owned and shoving it into bags.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Talon asked lying on my bed.

"I have to tell you something," I whisper dropping down beside him.

"And what's that?" He asked pulling me into his side.

"Well I'm adopted he's not really my father. Every body thinks he is. He's not," I told him placing my head on his chest.

"Understandable," he murmured into my ear.

"I lost my parents when I was young and be took me in," I noted. He nodded and kissed my cheek.

"How about tomorrow we leave right away in the morning at like six so you don't have to talk to anyone?" Talon asked.

"That would be lovely, I'll be right back," I whispered. I stood up and ran down the stairs and quickly found Emmy. I pulled her into dads office quickly.

"I found my mate, I'm leaving tomorrow morning early," I told her. She nodded her head a big smile on her face.

"Even if your not my real sister I love you like one," she whispered wrapping her arms around my shoulders.

"I love you too," I sniffled tears running down my cheeks.

"I'll see you someday soon," she responded. I nodded my head and whipped my tears away. I left the room and ran back to Talon. I sauntered into the bathroom. I wipped my face of all my makeup and slipped out of my dress. I opened my door and crawled across the floor to my closet. I made it to my closet hopefully without Talon seeing me. My pajamas were thrown on the floor. I picked them up and pulled them on. I left the closet and climbed into bed. Talon wrapped his arms around my small waist. I rested my head against his chest. My eyes shut and I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

My alarm started blaring the loud annoying alarm noise. I tried to sit up but I was restricted. I looked at the restriction around my waist. It was a long strong tan arm. I smiled at the amazing memory of me meeting my lovely mate. I looked up at his face and smiled. He was still sleeping. He looked so peaceful. I started tracing light patterns on his arm that was around my waist. He smiled at me and opened his beautiful brown eyes.

"Hello," he said pulling my face towards his. He pressed his lips to my forehead being respectful. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"It's time to leave," I whispered in his ear looking at the clock. He glanced at it before looking back at me.

"I guess it is," he responded. He rolled out of bed with me in his arms. I fought to get out of his arms but he eventually let me go with a chuckle.

I grabbed my backpack while Talon took my suitcase. We walked down the stairs and he showed me to his car. I climbed into the passenger side of the black Mustang with my backpack. Talon took my suitcase to the back and threw it into the car. I smiled and waited for him to get in. He took my hand and started the car. I smiled at him as we left the only place I ever knew.

Reaching his pack would take about eight hours, sadly I hate long drives. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over
