It has been days ever since he followed her to a town nearby the beach, where she visited her father's graveyard.

In fact, Draco feels sorry for her for losing a father, who was very dear to her. He knew how much pain she suffered, how much she grieved for her father over the years at such a young age. He has seen in an old newspaper from the library about her father. This is where he learned that Y/n had lost her father at the age of 10.

He doesn't even know how to look at her with pity now that he knew about it. He understood that losing someone vulnerable is more painful than choosing to leave your parents. Now the question in his mind was...Is that the reason why she was crying at that time on the rooftop?

"Draco," Marc's voice snapped Draco from his thoughts. "You have been staring at the floor, not even taking a sip of your wine like you have lost a coin. Tell me, what were you thinking about? Does it concern me or does it concern someone else?"

Draco and Marc have been invited to another party, a Black and White Charity Event, held in a Manoir owned by the hosts, Mr and Mr Durand, and of course, their adopted 12-year-old child, Faith Durand.

Although, Draco couldn't seem to find who he has been looking for around the room. It has already been about half an hour since he arrived at the party. He knew that she would be invited to this party because Marc told him about it, and he also knew that she never gets late when attending an event — this was also told by Marc. But...why is there no sight of her? Why would her mother be here or her aunt without her? Was something wrong? Has she had a feud with her mother again?

"Stop bobbing your head. You're going to make yourself look like a giraffe." Said Marc.

"I just....couldn't find her," Draco replied.

"Well, maybe she didn't attend, isn't it that obvious?"

"And you told me that she would come to events like this."

"But I didn't say she would always attend," Marc smirked, raising his brown. "The young lady sometimes declines the invitation and sometimes she would just let her mother or her aunt attend."

"So, I came here for nothing?"

"Well, you came here to enjoy and support this Fundraising Gala." He stated. "Are you going to buy something in the Auction later?"

"Maybe later," Draco replied, placing both of his hands in his pockets and walking away from Marc.

"Where are you going?" Marc asked.

"Outside," Draco said, not turning his head to look at his friend who looks rather confused about why he was going outside. "To smoke."

Draco has been sitting on a stone bench nearby the stone railings in the wide balcony of the Manoir whilst letting a grey-coloured smoke come out of his mouth and taking the cigarette back in his mouth.

Truth be told, he doesn't want to join the Auction later. He felt like he doesn't have any energy today to support the Fundraising Event. He was never like this in the previous events that he had attended such as events like this.

He admits that he's frustrated that he came here, knowing that Y/n would be here, for nothing. He has his hopes up that he would be able to speak to her, that she would listen to him even in the slightest way. Although, what he didn't realize at the moment is that...he never actually felt this way towards a girl before. He never even experienced trying to chase a girl for his book and this situation has made Marc laugh, for he knew that most women don't turn Draco down, only a few.

Draco pulled the cigarette out of his mouth, letting a grey smoke out of his mouth and looked above the sky that was covered with millions of twinkling stars and a moon, shaped in a crescent.

Although, he thought he was alone until when he moved his head to the right and saw a woman standing with one hand against the railing. She was a bit far and Draco couldn't see who the woman is, especially when the lights were dim.

So, Draco stood up, threw his cigarette in the bin next to him, and was about to leave when he recognised those shining black hair and brown-coloured skin, which his eyes adored.

"No wonder why you weren't around the party." He mumbled to himself whilst approaching her.

The closer he got, the closer he could see her from the dark, realizing that she was holding something in her hand whilst she was gazing at it. It was a necklace. However, that is not the only one he noticed. He noticed that she was wearing a black evening gown that revealed a bit of her back, her hair was tied up and had let her baby hair fall off, and thin earrings dangling on her ears.

As soon as she turned around, still gazing at the necklace and without any knowledge that Draco was there, she accidentally bumped into him and let the necklace fall from her hand.

"Oh," She said when she bumped into him. Then her eyes gazed at the person in front of her, her eyes locked upon his beautiful silver eyes. "What are you doing here?" She glared.

Draco, however, picked up the necklace and looked at it.

"Did you steal this?" He asked, letting the necklace dangling in his hand.

"Give it back," She tried to snatch the necklace from his hand, but Draco dodged her, making her even more frustrated and Draco loves to see how frustrated she looks at this very moment.

It was fair enough though. She made him frustrated before, so making her feel the same way would just make it fair between them.

"Malfoy, please..." She pleaded, her voice wasn't mean, and there was no sign that she wanted to have a feud with him, but still Draco didn't have a clue about this and just chose to keep the necklace away from her.

"You stole this, didn't you?" Of course, he was only joking. He knew that Y/n wouldn't steal anything. She may be rude but he could see that she wasn't the type of person who would steal from someone.

"Just give it back, please..."

"That was rare of you to ask nicely to me." He told, still trying to keep the necklace further from her hands. "Rare to see you beg."

"Malfoy, I'm not joking around..." Anxiousness was written in her eyes but Draco still doesn't see it.

So, he placed his hand out of the railing, letting the necklace dangle in his hand whilst they were on a balcony that was high from the grassy ground.

"Draco, No!!!" She yelled, her eyes swelled up with tears, which Draco realized immediately. "Please, don't throw it. I didn't steal that." She sobbed.

Oh, how Draco felt guilty for being so blind to notice how much the necklace is something vulnerable to her. He doesn't know why was the necklace so precious to her, so he slowly took his hand away from outside the railing and gave it back to her.

What he received was a slap on his cheek, which caused his eyes to widen and look at her.

"How awful can you be?" She spat, tears were already streaming down her cheeks.

When Draco was about to apologize, she walked away and left him alone under the starry sky. He admits that he felt guilty. He admits that he deserves that slap from her. But what he is curious about is why was the necklace precious to her.
