There was only a day left until they left for France, only to get Draco's things and then travel to England, the country where he was born and the country where he grew up. However, he didn't yet plan on coming back to Wiltshire, to his family, he still wanted to have some time for himself, and of course, with his dearly beloved. He planned on staying somewhere peaceful, in the countryside, perhaps Cotswold or perhaps in Dorset.

It was already 8 in the morning, they hadn't gotten out their bed with their arms wrapped around each other, talking and planning all the places that they would go and the things they could do. They enjoyed each other's warmth and each other's smile. It is as if the time between them has slowed down and as if they never cared what was happening in the world. It is love that controls them. The love that Y/n never expected to have and never expected to come.

However, their conversation was interrupted by Poppy, barking down on the floor with its eyes looking up at the bed.

"I guess Poppy's going to steal you from me now." He said sarcastically.

"It was only a walk, Dray." She chuckled, getting up from the bed and putting her slippers on. "If you don't want her to steal me, why don't you walk her?"

"But she hates me." He reasoned, already sitting up and glaring at Poppy, who was giving him the same look.

"Well, I guess I'll get changed." She uttered, cupping his cheek and giving him a kiss on the lips. "Do not fret, Dray. I'll be back after this."

Draco was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for them so that when Y/n arrived, the food was already prepared on the table. However, a knock on the door startled Draco, and then he wondered who would it be. If it were Y/n, it would be too early for her to come back since she just left and she didn't even need to knock on the door since she would bring a spare key to the house, and if it were the old couple, they would have called for his name after knocking.

So he marched his way to the door, still contemplating to open it as he held the knob, feeling its cold metal. He felt something was not right. He felt fear. Nevertheless, he opened the door out of bravery, and there stood the woman that he did not expect to see.

Her mother, Mrs Magindara.

She was wearing a hat, protecting her from the heat, and dressed so formally as if she was to attend a meeting. However, she seems displeased to see Draco be the one opening the door.

"Where is she?" She asked coldly. Her eyes pierced through his soul.

And there he realized that they had been found, only a day left for them to leave the place.

"I...I don't know what you are talking about, Ma'am." He lied.

"You do not take me for a fool, Mr. Malfoy. I know she's here with you. Bring her out this once or I shall call the police to accuse you of kidnapping."

"She isn't here, Ma'am." He replied out of fear, avoiding any eye contact with her.

She only scoffed then she spoke again, "Do you really think that a mere author like you could take care of her? Provide the life, best for her? You should think of the choices you make, Mr. Malfoy. It's either you let her go or take her with you, letting her live such a life that she didn't have before. Think about this thoroughly." Of course, the woman wouldn't joke about something like this. She looked dropped dead serious upon giving her statement.

He lowered his head, staring at the ground.

It did strike Draco, her mother's statement. He could never give her the perfect life she always had since she was born into this world. He may be the heir of the Malfoys, but it'll be long before he gets his inheritance. For now, he's only living with the money he earns from his books. It wasn't enough to give her the home she deserved and the life he wanted her to live.

"But of course, I would never allow you to take her away, Mr Malfoy." Draco's head lifted, looking back at Mrs Magindara. "If you let her go, you may see her but you may not talk to her nor go near her, and if you do not...well, you will be forced to and you may never see her again."

"Never see her aga—?"

"She'll be sent to somewhere you won't know."

He felt devastated, indeed. Both choices have their own consequences. The only difference is that the other one is bad and the other is worse, but both still will break his heart.

"I'll give you until tomorrow morning to think. If you choose to let her go, call me with this number." She gave him her business card. "I shall have the driver to come tomorrow afternoon to take her. Think what you must say to her as long as you let her go." Then she left, leaving Draco frozen as he stared at the card.

He didn't want to let her go. He didn't want her mother to take her away from him either. Everything that had just happened felt unreal, and he even wished it was only a nightmare that he needed to wake up as soon as possible, but it wasn't. Everything that happened was real. Everything that happened earlier is and will be the start of his heart's downfall.

So...he had no choice but...to let her go...even though he hated the idea on his mind, the plan on how he'd let her go.
