Frozen: Brooklyn's Snowflake

Chapter 7

Everyone gathered inside for the coronation. Brooklyn since he was guardian stood next to the priest who had the crown and the signature items Elsa would hold when he made the speech. Brooklyn swallowed again while waiting for Elsa, shuffling his feet.

"Princess Elsa, come forth," the priest said, beckoning Elsa who was at the entrance. Brooklyn stared again, heart fluttering once more. Elsa wore a regal Queen's dress, her face solemn in expression when stepping forward down the aisle. A choir sang a regal tune until Elsa reached the end. Brooklyn gulped at how close they were now. Elsa only took one look at him before looking away. Anna stood to the other side. She had waved to Hans in the crowd.

The Priest took Elsa's new crown, placing it on her head after she bowed. Brooklyn smiled at the fact that Elsa was now a Queen. Elsa reached for the royal items with her gloved hands until the Priest cleared his throat. "Your majesty; the gloves," he whispered. Brook tilted his head again, still curious about the whole glove situation. Elsa shakily took them off then took hold of the items, turning around, taking the position of Queen for the potrait. The Priest spoke some words in a language Brooklyn couldn't make out at first until he ended with "Queen Elsa of Arendelle!"

"Queen Elsa of Arendelle!" The crowd repeated while Brook and Anna kept silent, but were both happy for her.

After the coronation there was a big party held. Brooklyn stood next to Anna near the entrance; watching everybody dance. Anna shifted a little. "Nervous?" Brooklyn asked. "No, I'm excited, I haven't seen people in so long," she said.

Brooklyn took her hand. "You'll do great, I'll be next to you," he said. Anna smiled at him when the dancing finished.

"Queen Elsa of Arendelle!" The announcer said, Elsa coming to stand in her spot. Brooklyn felt his nerves again. Why must he still be nervous around her?

"And Princess Anna and Guardian Brooklyn of Arendelle!" Brooklyn guided Anna out who almost didn't venture out, tugging her arm encouragingly. She allowed Brooklyn to bring her into the open. Brooklyn swallowed at the people before them but kept his nerves in, moving Anna to her sister.

"This is your chance," he whispered. Anna protested but too late as she stood next to Elsa now awkwardly. Brook stood with Anna, eyes kept downward, remaining silent.

The party carried on normally while the royals observed them. Brooklyn swished his tail in discomfort and awkwardness. Elsa's eyes looked at them. "Hi." She greeted. Brooklyn didn't reply but Anna did. "Oh, hi... hi me? Yeah. Hi." She stuttered. Elsa saw Brooklyn looking a bit sad and awkward. She cleared her throat.

"Brook?" She asked. Brooklyn cringed but turned to see her violet eyes staring into his own. He gulped. "Er... hi..." Brooklyn said, wishing to hide right now. It felt, weird to have Elsa greet him in a friendly manner after the fiasco those years ago which he didn't forget. He attempted a smile but then it fell.

"S-sorry I'm not more sociable, your majesty..." he apologized. Elsa shook her head. "No need for your apology since we're friends." She looked out at the crowd. "So this is what a party looks like." Brooklyn couldn't help the smile coming back. He never been to many parties. This was a huge thing to happen to hum.

Anna shifted again. "It's warmer than I thought," she commented. Brook nodded. "Y-yeah. Pleasant." Elsa smelled the air. "And what is that smell?" The two sisters smelled together. "Chocolate!" They giggled after that, making Brooklyn smile further, liking to see them acting sisterly just for a moment.

But then a voice spoke from a man named Kai. "Your majesties and guardian; the Duke of Weaseltown..." he started. Brooklyn raised his brow at the skinny old man who glared at Kai. "Weselton!" He snapped, before recomposing himself. "Duke of Weselton, highnesses and... ahem... special one," he said, eyeing Brooklyn with mistrust.
